  1. I'm probably going to make it to 6 inches or more with these bands. It's probably 15:1 or better. Very fluffy snow.
  2. Pretty good rates, up to quarter+ falling in this band.
  3. Pretty good rates with nickles falling in this band. It's heading SE towards Anderson, Knox and Union and points east. Hopefully it holds together.
  4. Another band moving in with some low end steady snow. Future radar keeps it around until about 10pm.
  5. I live a few miles as the crow flies from Stinking Creek exit.
  6. This showed how rare a state wide event really is. This one looked like a slam dunk and still didn't happen. The pattern being discussed in the pattern thread is one that can deliver that. Crazy that a week ago it was 70+ degrees and we hasn't been below freezing in nearly a week.
  7. It's nice. The nw snow is smaller flakes and it's peppering down out there now. Looks like I might squeeze out 5 inches. It's a shame that the valley got warm nosed. Looks like some areas around 40 and north have a shot for some more backside showers. I assume our mid state guys had a good day.
  8. Trying to upload a gif but my home internet is acting like dial up.
  9. Another band is coming in now. Northwest to SE movement now as the back side is moving into the upper Cumberland Plateau.
  10. Back down to light snow now, but man, that was fun for about an hour. Hopefully a few more pulses to go.
  11. Coming down as hard as it has at any point. Closing on 4 inches.
  12. Dumping quarters and half dollars here again. Not sure if this is the last charge or not.
  13. Like the report from you and Shocker. Happens often on the Plateau on the back side of systems. Snow falls from lower in the DGZ and it doesn't show up well on radar. I have noticed the hour or hour and a half just before dark seems to often see a pick up on days like today.
  14. How is your snow rate? Temp falling too?
  15. Temperature is falling, down to 28. Rates are picking up, as is flake size. The hole on the radar filled in nicely. Hoping for 3 or 4 more hours of this. 3 inches so far. Only added 1/2 inch in the last hour after adding 1.25 per hour the first two hours.
  16. After that front end thumping, rates have fallen off here and there's a huge break in precip that looks like it will last at least an hour or so. I was headed for glory and 6+ if not for that.
  17. Just crossed the 2 hours of snowing mark, have 2.5 inches. Currently not snowing as hard as earlier but flake size went up to quarters and half dollars. 30 degrees.
  18. Just got to town. Roads are just horrific and it's blitzing LaFollette. The hazy building you can see the outlne of is about 500 feet away.
  19. It's just crushing down here. Visibility is around 500 feet.
  20. I think that's the dry slot. The snow is still falling back in NE Arkansas. We should have 5 or 6 more hours to go.
  21. Future radar shows you switching back to snow soon and pushes the rain up along the Apps. Hopefully you can change back.
  22. 1 hour since flurries turned to actual snow. 1.1 inches fell during the hour.
  23. Don't have the flake size Holston has, more quarters but they are very very thick. My upper levels may be slightly less conducive for large large flakes. That said, the darkest blue returns are just to my south and moving north. But radar coverage isn't always great here so it's possible they are here and this is the heavy stuff but with smaller flakes.
  24. You can generally take 3-5 degrees off car thermometers.
