    The GFS saved it's best shot for last. I'm hoping that we can pull off even 50-60 percent of this.

    Not sure how much lower I'll get, but am currently at 28.2. Have been below freezing since 11 pm. There's still patchy snow on the ground in shady, north facing spots even after hitting the upper 40s today. MRX does say that it will begin as rain here, basically it only has above 2200ft beginning as snow in the point forecast.

    My point forecast says 3-7 inches with up to 1 inch tonight. My zone says 2-6 inches.

    The RAP has fired the first 12 inch shot in the mid-State. maybe it's best run for the whole state yet. MRX noted the downsloping in the NE areas due to the angle of approach. If you tend to get downsloped in NE Tn from the Smokies/Roane, this may be one where you get less than others.

    OHX had another big expansion of their WSW. Now includes most of their CWA, including Nashville proper.

    Don't have the ratio'd Euro but it goes great guns over Holston to Shawn at Hr 18. Oddly it actually gives the heaviest snow axis just east or ne of those areas.

    Canadian. I assume the East of Knox area light spot is downsloping related.

    The Canadian is going to be a big run again. Especially for the Mid-State.

    The RAP held steady for the good areas, ticked up by about an inch in the Loudon to Tri-Cities corridor.

    00z GEFS snow depth. This is impressive as it's snow on the ground and an ensemble mean. That's a large area over 2 inches and a pretty big area over 3.

    GFS wasn't as kind to the Southern border counties. I think we are locked in for a rare nearly state wide 1+ inch snow fall. I think somewhere in Middle Tennessee will be the jackpot for the state. Kentucky is in great shape for nice totals too.

    Because of the similar colors, not sure if this is just dumping heavy heavy snow or if it's portraying this as sleet. The sounding under that purple in Campbell County is not a sleet sounding.

    LaCrosse is a good one for a reasonable price. As with anything, it's how much you want to spend.

    02z RAP. Still doesn't have the whole event. It's snowing east of 75 at this hour.

    OHX expanded the Winter Storm Warning area quite a bit, and even that may not be enough. As of now, Middle Tennessee looks like the place to be in the state. It does as well as Kentucky.

    I expect it means that OHX is about to add their Plateau counties to the Winter Storm Warning area.

    I believe those streaks are best guesses by the models at banding set ups.

    3k looks about the exact same as the HRRR. They are very close to the same model on the HRRR 48 hour extended run.
