  1. Another month with over 10 inches of rainfall IMBY. That brings my total to just shy of 95 inches! 95! I can't really grasp the magnitude of that number. Crazy. I'm hoping the wet trend can continue through the winter and match up nicely with some cold air...
  2. I love the research, time, and thought you put into this, Grit. But, I hate your conclusions.
  3. I finished with 8.03 inches between last night and this morning! Crazy. The big wet 2020 continues. Now at 91.99 inches IMBY since January 1, which is 41.86 inches ahead of pace on my 8-year annual average of 57.72 inches at this house. We still have more than 1.5 months to go in this calendar year... Can I change my screen name to @Rainforrest? Oh. Wait. We already have one of those.
  4. Just insane amounts of rainfall again overnight. 2.81 inches yesterday. More than 4.5 inches already today since midnight. Been outside fighting to keep storm drains clear since 3 AM so my basement doesn't flood again. Gonna call the city to see if we can get some engineers out here to redesign the water flow. This water flow should be better funnelled. Over 91 inches of rainfall for the year...and counting... Sent from my moto e5 supra using Tapatalk
  5. Rain was not that impressive IMBY today (1.15 inches), but I have now climbed above 83 inches for the calendar year, which is just INSANE for this location. I continue to build on the wettest year I've ever had at this location in nine years of living here. Almost 10 inches of rain in October too. I think 100 inches is probably pretty unlikely, but it's definitely not out of the question and what I am currently on pace for this year.
  6. And Hurricane Sandy did the trick several years ago.
  7. After rainfall from the remnants of Hurricane Delta, I have now recorded over 79 inches of rainfall IMBY, making this the rainiest year on record for my nine years at this location. And...there are still 2.5 months remaining in this calendar year. Wow.
  8. That's the spirit. Vote early and vote often. [emoji16] Sent from my moto e5 supra using Tapatalk

  10. You just beat me, Strong. [emoji16] 42.8 F here. Sent from my moto e5 supra using Tapatalk
  11. That was it! Now I remember. Sent from my moto e5 supra using Tapatalk
  12. Yeah, one of the last times it significantly snowed in October, the Blowing Rock area got around 4-6 inches on Halloween. I think that was 5-8 years ago. I took the kids up the mountain to go sledding. We had a blast. I then expected a rockin' winter, and it turned out to be very mild, unfortunately.
  13. Wow! Now that's a hike/run. I have hiked profile several times but never scout. Need to do that soon, but not running. [emoji16] Sent from my moto e5 supra using Tapatalk
  14. We'll miss you, Mack. You've been a mainstay of this forum for many years. Best wishes in Iowa! Enjoy all the snow that you will get there!
  15. Yeah, Internet Exploder should be way down on your list of preferred browsers. You might even try Netscape Navigator before IE. [emoji16] Sent from my moto e5 supra using Tapatalk
  16. Yep, this place is dead, understandably so. Not only is the weather rather mundane, but we have an international crisis occupying most people's attention. Oh, to have a snowstorm to distract us...
  17. Still light snow. Seems like back end is approaching quickly. Sent from my moto e5 supra using Tapatalk
  18. 32.7/32 here at home. Steady light snow. Grass and elevated surfaces are white. Sent from my moto e5 supra using Tapatalk
  19. Alright, the snow has begun! A little later than predicted. Very wet, still. Let's see where we go...
  20. Yeah, the orientation of the major moisture flow on radar is almost due west to east. And...it has set up to our south.
  21. Dewpoints in the 20s for western half of NC. Surface temps are not below freezing, though, except on the highest peaks.
