It’s been a rough finish to winter. That’s for sure.

Other than 2023. March has been dead locally. It’s the new slump month.

March in the lower Great Lakes is a painful place to live. Inbetween the goods. Warm beautiful weather south. Wicked snowstorms north. In the middle….is just trash!

Green Bay would be a complicated drive for us. If I would go anywhere I’d go straight up north to Gaylord directly east of Green Bay pretty much and it would only take me just under three hours.

Oh look another major snowstorm missing Detroit. What a shocker. don’t worry detroit will somehow collect 4” in the next 2-3 weeks. It might take 3 clippers to do it. But they’ll get it.

That’s not hard to accomplish. Detroits only had 4 storms of 12”+ since 1932. Detroits only advantage vs the western lakes is days with snowfall. Lots and lots of 1-2” days. They don’t have dead periods in a cold pattern like they do. But legit stink at big dogs. It’s all what u like speaking of snow “days” this area here has had almost non stop snow since Saturday night. Not even hitting 3”. That’s how we roll.

I was bagging on Central Iowa not even a week ago saying what a painful place to live. If you like snow and you guys get 15 inches. Can’t make this up it would take Detroit 15 days to get 15 inches of snow and with it snowing every day

Living outside of the Lakes region for example like madison, the Quad Cities, Rockford. Even the western suburbs of Chicago. Would be frustrating to me to go days and sometimes several weeks without measureable snows. especially coming from SE Michigan, where lake-effect bursts and clippers usually give you something to track every week or two around you and watch the radar southern Michigan snows every other day while Madison and Rockford blue skies for 2-3 weeks in the same cold pattern that would drive me crazy and I know places like Minneapolis and Madison averages more than DTW but that’s DTW many places west and north of DTW averages much more outside the belts the Hills north of detroit averages 60” yes I know detroit sucks and big snowstorms (Erie Basin effect)
