Yeah it was in a few places. MQT is going to provide a full list of records today. I have to say, this is very enjoyable. It's nice wearing only shorts outside as we near mid-nov. -

As of today the snow is completely gone. The temp reached 72 yesterday and “only” 58 today, and 60’s (some upper at that) look good for a few more days. I’m not complaining... getting a lot of yard stuff done. Been here long enough to know winter will roar back and the snow will get deep. -

Hadn't looked at anything beyond this coming week. There's potential to be well in the 60's Wednesday and Thursday. Then I'm sure I'll be buried feet deep by December. -

Snow picking up in intensity, WWA for up to 5" of snow along with winds gusting 50-60 mph again today... blizzard conditions possible. Snow has been on the ground now 12 days. 40's and 50's with sun in the forecast all week! -
Have you considered being a little more detailed in your maps?

Owner of the bakery in Negaunee that I have worked at off and on for 6 years is currently hospitalized with covid. I haven't seen her since February but I know she is a strong woman, only in her mid-50's and doesn't smoke or drink. She has controlled diabetes but is otherwise healthy. Sucks because the business had been so careful with masks and carryout/outside seating only since opening back up in June but was hoping to add a few tables inside since it's getting cold. She will mostly likely be fine I hope but I feel terrible. It's a very small business and it's been one obstacle after another since March. After 24 years in business, 2019 was her best year too. The bakery is closed until Oct 12th.

If Nancy feels safe, so do I.

It must be tore up there. Are you gonna post your time lapse vid?

Hope hawkeye and cyclone are ok
-
I think it bodes well for the rest of the country and will signal a trend in what most schools decide to do.
-
No one mentioning NYC deciding it's safe to reopen schools and students to return this fall? I mean, if NY can do it safely, most us po-dunk places should be able to.
-
Can someone explain to me why all the extra money? Why weren't people just paid unemployment for 100% of what they were earning before the virus? I can understand hazard pay a little more but it just doesn't make sense to me to pay so many people an extra $600 a week, unless the goal was to keep the economy from completely tanking or an incentive to keep people home and things shutdown longer. Hope people spent wisely.
-
Wear a mask and social distance. Otherwise life should carry on without restrictions on where and when you can go.
-
I respect your opinion, but think you're completely wrong. Life cannot and should not cease to exist because a certain high risk group of people are susceptible to the virus. There are precautions and mitigation that can help reduce the spread until a vaccine. Shutting down the world and people's lives is not an option. It will cause more harm than good. Couch 'taters may not get this.
-
No offense to you Stebo but should we lock down until a vaccine is presented? If a mask helps prevent the spread, let's all strap one one and go about our business. Do you want airlines to go bankrupt, only to bail them out with our tax dollars? Guess I'm confused. Life has to go on.
-
Don't play the victim now, you've been pro-lockdown from the beginning, and I do understand that to a degree considering where you live, but don't hold us all to your standards and then cast judgement.
-
Yes there are hot spots in the country. The majority of MI counties tho, are just like here in the UP. The cases in MI are mostly in a "tri-county" area. You have to understand the frustration the majority of Michiganders feel who's lives have been not only disrupted (to say the least), but in some cases, changed forever... for a virus that didn't really affect the community they live in. There's two sides to every argument, and tbh, I'm a little tired of only one side being considered. Somehow, if I want to live my life, I'm then selfish and don't care about humanity. **** that. And **** your narrow mind.
-
There have been 104 confirmed cases in the entire UP. MOST of the 10 deaths(13 total up-wide) in Marquette county have been at a nursing home, as well as a good deal of the confirmed cases in general. I will wear a mask where required, but other than that I am living my life and enjoying my freedoms. If that makes me a careless egotistical asshole, good.

You're growing a mullet?

I took clippers and a #1 guard and just buzzed it. I've gotten use to it I guess. A sock hat outside is a necessity.
-
Maybe it's the same reason people are being triggered because you can go get a haircut.
