I think the setup for later next week is the best of the season for NWFS. The orientation of the moisture looks good and with the ,low bombing out near the northeast it could be a good one...
The GFS looks juicy
My forecast turned out ok but I missed out for Rainforrest and was a bit high in some other areas. I thought I was conservative but not enough. Each storm is a learning experience..
I don't lol but glad some got their best snow of the season. We had more back in January. Looks like a possible robust NWFS later next week followed by a cold blast and possible piece of energy diving down with the trough. Interesting times ahead
Hope y'all in the eastern part of the state do well. It was a big bust for pretty much all of western NC. Even high elevations didnt get much more than a couple inches max.
Interesting drive to Marion from Asheville. Maybe .5 in Asheville/Black Mountain. On top of Old Fort mtn there was maybe 1 to 1.5 and the road was getting a bit slick in places. Back to Old Fort there was a solid dusting that tapered to a light dusting in Marion. Light snow falling and 32.7 at the house
I'm not petty enough to take a pic and prove it but its just now starting to barely stick to trees. The grass is still mostly wet off of Haywood in West Asheville
