  1. As I expected, very few places had over 4 inches of snow
  2. Who has 4 inches in the triangle? I havent seen any reports more than 2. I will wait to see complete snow maps once the storm is finished.
  3. I have talked to different folks in the triad, New Bern and Greenville and they are all below expectations. It's too early for a post mortem but I think this storm deserves some studying
  4. It appears this storm will bust low for just about everyone. Places modeled to get 3 to 6 inches in eastern NC are getting half of that at best. Places like Norfolk and VA Beach barely have anything due to Easterly winds off of the ocean. Areas just east of the Blue Ridge got a dusting to an inch and even Asheville and Hendersonville had an inch or less when almost all modeling had them at 2 to 4 inches. I'm curious as to precip amounts for these areas when all is said and done. Obviously lack of heavy precip hurt many NC areas but toasty boundary level temperatures were equally troublesome. The storm also seemed to be a bit weaker and further south than progged.
  5. My forecast turned out ok but I missed out for Rainforrest and was a bit high in some other areas. I thought I was conservative but not enough. Each storm is a learning experience..
  6. I'm out driving around and we have some light rain and drizzle in parts of McDowell.. Its going to be a skating rink later if the wind doesn't pick up
  7. I don't lol but glad some got their best snow of the season. We had more back in January. Looks like a possible robust NWFS later next week followed by a cold blast and possible piece of energy diving down with the trough. Interesting times ahead
  8. Hope y'all in the eastern part of the state do well. It was a big bust for pretty much all of western NC. Even high elevations didnt get much more than a couple inches max.
  9. The nam got my hopes up showing 4 to 6 inches here for multiple runs but it was nice watching it snow most of the day
  10. Lol this storm has been an interesting one. I barely have a dusting in Marion and even places about 3k feet are struggling to get more than an inch
  11. Interesting drive to Marion from Asheville. Maybe .5 in Asheville/Black Mountain. On top of Old Fort mtn there was maybe 1 to 1.5 and the road was getting a bit slick in places. Back to Old Fort there was a solid dusting that tapered to a light dusting in Marion. Light snow falling and 32.7 at the house
  12. Cold way to start off March on the Euro
  13. Not our storm. I think the surprise snow we had in January will be better than this.
  14. He barely has a dusting in Cashiers and its been snowing there since 8 a.m.
  15. I know it isn't but you have to see the signs that this is not trending well for snow lovers. I am just disappointed.
  16. Look at LiquidBud post in main thread. Unless it starts ripping soon your forecast is going to bust big time. Pride comes before the fall young man
  17. I'm not petty enough to take a pic and prove it but its just now starting to barely stick to trees. The grass is still mostly wet off of Haywood in West Asheville
