  1. I'm sure it will be in the 20s and windy for the opening of trout season in April
  2. You know it's not good when Met1985 isn't being positive.
  3. The Euro looks more like winter cancel (more like d.o.a.)
  4. 23 this morning. Damn shame it will be 35 and raining this time tomorrow.
  5. If it continues as is, this winter would be a top 3 worst of all time since I have lived here. (35 years) Even 2019/20 had a dusting of snow. 2012/13 had accumulating sleet/ice. Only flurries so far this year. The only other that was this bad was 2011/12.
  6. January is toast at this point. Odds of a shutout are growing
  7. Unfortunately it looks more like more rain then cold front then cold and dry a few days then warm up.
  8. Gotta get rid of these higher heights near us and we could be in business
  9. With the big trough digging in the midwest, it's going to get super wet and its not exactly dry currently. I can see some flooding issues coming soon.
  10. The way the long range keeps moving to warm, this could be the areas biggest snow of the season.
  11. Still just flurries in west Asheville. Can't get any decent rates.
  12. The EPS is still way colder than the GFS and not far off. Your post is misleading.
  13. Nice snow shower just moved through west Asheville. Not sticking though
  14. Pretty lackluster so far but there is about 18 hours left of the best forcing.
  15. 1.34 yesterday. Looks to be another system or 2 then maybe dry out some?
  16. Just need the temperatures to drop in Asheville. It's still almost 40 so I don't think there will be any accumulation until tonight here which is probably going to be the best rates anyways
  17. Boyer going with .1 in downtown Asheville and conservative overall
  18. Storms moved in quicker than models progged by a few hours.
  19. Not everyday you have a severe thunderstorm warning on top of a winter storm warning
  20. GFS is showing some snow squalls in eastern NC Friday night.
  21. That squall line has my attention. It looks to strengthen as it moves through our area. Wind damage possible for sure. I saw a massive boar black bear roaming the shoulder on 240 today not far from the mall in Asheville. Had to be 350-400 pounds.
  22. The big snowstorm for the western carolinas was on the 16th
