  1. Early on, this looks like it might be a good run for the mountains on the GFS. More confluence in the NE.
  2. Latest Nam is close but not enough for most of us. North GA looks to be in the best spot for a car topper.
  3. I do think we may have a legit threat around MLK day. And this Wednesday night/Thursday could be sneaky and give NE GA and SWNC a few inches if that finger of precip develops that some of the models are hinting at. I think the 7th and the storm after that will be a lot of cold rain but as others said, it will help build snowpack to the northwest and northeast. I would love to see some signs of CAD in the long range. It is one of the few things that can destroy a SE Ridge.
  4. Yes you did. Hopefully it won't turn into too much of a good thing
  5. The thought did cross my mind..I just hope we get one good area wide storm.
  6. Uhm I thought the Midwest and Ohio Valley saw less snow during an El Nino? This looks more like a La Nina clown map
  7. Well the Euro does give the high mountains a couple inches of wet snow before transitioning to rain. It's basically showing a Miller B now.
  8. Well I haven't seen measurable snow in 2 years. It makes a man crazy
  9. Models are trending worse and worse for the next 2 or 3 systems. Lots of rain even for higher elevations. Punting until January 20 may be a real thing.
  10. GFS isn't even close. Its trending way north. Could be more of a severe threat for deep south than anything
  11. Every 2 or 3 days there is going to be a system according to most models starting next weekend. We desperately need cold air.
  12. An almost ideal track for WNC and its a rainstorm
  13. Yep, looks like a big trough in the west around the 7-10 of January and a "warmup" here (never really gets that cold). When will that pattern break? Who knows. The clock is ticking and we are well on our way to another disappointing winter.
  14. Gonna still stay wet. Wish we had more cold air around.. active STJ and southern stream but the cold air is super marginal and fleeting. Frustrating.
  15. Looks like cold rain unless you are near the TN border or east TN for the storm around Jan 4th. Cold air not really entrenched east of the Apps.
  16. Amen brother. We had 11" here in that Jamuary 2022 system. But since then, basically nada in the foothills. As each week passes with no snow, we get closer to another disappointing winter.
