    I'm not worried about downsloping. The north/west trend is likely going to give us a nasty cold rain. This could turn into an east kentucky storm like the Euro is showing.

    Sometimes I can get lucky in these setups being nestled so close to the Blue Ridge even though im at a low elevation. I have seen storms where we het 4 or 5 inches and eastern McDowell barely an inch.

    Early on, I think this NAM run will be pretty amped

    This is going to be very tricky even for the mountains. Almost everything has to be perfect. ULL track, strength, and it coming during the night will all help determining who gets accumulation and how much. We all know that there is often a westward/north trend at this range. If it starts at 00Z that will not be good for snow in WNC.

    Short range Canadian is usually one of the coldest models. Its one of the warmest so far for this potential event

    The low is further west on the Euro and most of the snow is confined to the foothills and mountains.
