  1. I think your area will do much better in this setup than areas east of the Apps and Blue Ridge
  2. Nice shower was a surprise here. We needed it. The next 10 days look very dry.
  3. We got nothing but sprinkles here. Pattern looks dry east of the Blue Ridge
  4. Models went from over 1.5 QPF here to nothing in a couple days. Just like January snowstorms boys..
  5. Although it rained quite a bit the last few weeks it's dried out completely in a few days due to the incessant wind. It has gusted over 40 mph for 3 days straight. That's rare even in Winter..
  6. Pretty significant tornado hit Virginia Beach today. Lots of damage but so far no fatalities or injuries I have seen.
  7. Pretty rare for the last day of April even in the higher elevations. It's pretty windy here and odd to see the trees with full leaves whipping around in winter like winds.
  8. Hard to know what will exactly happen but the models have been showing less and less heavy rain totals the last few days. There were some 4 inch plus runs now most have the majority of our area at 2 or less.
  9. 31 here. I'm ready for actual spring. Doesn't appear to be here anytime soon.
  10. We were only at 39. Light breeze kept us warmer
  11. We may not see 80 again until mid May in WNC
  12. Heaviest thunder we have had in a while last night. .57 to add to the April total. 45° already.
  13. Cold/frost/high elevation snow could all be in play next weekend. Much colder than average pattern coming up it looks like. Right on cue..
  14. Yeah this is one of the coldest places in the county on calm clear nights. I'm really close to the Catawba and in a valley. Of course it's also one of the last places to turn over to snow as well due to lower elevation than most of McDowell.
  15. 2.32 for the 3 day total. Much needed here
  16. I don't think April will be too much above average due to rain and clouds if the cutoff comes to fruition.
  17. Just had a few rounds of storms the past couple hours with over .50 already.
  18. Looks like we will finally see a good soaking rain. Right on the edge but a couple inches seem likely.
  19. Fishing just ain't what it used to be. Too many people, too few fish. There's so many houses and developments now it's no wonder streams like South Toe have trouble maintaining a good level.
