  1. Big storms near the blue Ridge firing quickly
  2. Real nasty stuff firing along the blue Ridge
  3. Models are less impressive too. I do think all the MCS rolling across the past few days have helped stabilize things a bit.
  4. They are but will it give the atmosphere time to juice back up? It can cap things.
  5. I think this mornings MCS will really limit things west of 77. Not that it's the prime spot anyways.
  6. We got rocked with a cell that blew up right over us.
  7. Another big MCS in Kentucky. Looks bigger than the one earlier today. Be interesting to see where it heads.
  8. I'm over 7 inches of rain for the month.. would have never believed it 10 days ago when I had less than .50.
  9. .63 today to put me around 6.5 since Monday.
  10. West Asheville just picked up one of the heaviest rain they have had since the event started. Probably .30 to .50 or more in places. Still remarkable how much more rain I had at the house than work.
  11. 5.85 here for the week. I expect more later today
  12. Same here. Moderate at times but mostly light.
  13. That and the heavy band a few days ago trained over you and mostly missed my location.
  14. I'm only at 5.72 just a few miles east of you.
  15. I'm at 4.37. 3 miles to my west has about 8 inches.
  16. Flash flooding has been occurring near Pleasant Gardens the last few hours. Some places have over 6 inches of rain since 4 am. We are at 2.97 event total. Heavy embedded showers continue.
  17. That band is barely moving over McDowell with some crazy rates. Its a couple miles west of my location but gave me .67 in 20 minutes. A flash flood warning might be issues if it doesn't start weakening or moving.
  18. I see you getting clocked in Rutherford. We are only at .32 in McDowell
  19. Today has been a bit of a bust. Only .15 here and the radar is paltry. All went to the east. Most models have backed off some. GFS down to 2 or 3 inches.
  20. Going to be the wildest weather week of 2023 so far. Buckle up
  21. Pretty much every model has 6 to 12 inches of rain here. Insane.
