I was thinking the same. My high was 41° and most early March days that would feel warm. Today is raw and cold.

Just to make you happy, I reverted back this year. My snowblower went down with the first wet, heavy snow in December and I never got it fixed. I don't shovel though, I use a snow scoop. Much better than a shovel and not much worse than a snowblower.

I sort of get it. I’m not good at golf, I topped out at a 13 handicap and last year I had a couple of injuries that set me back. But I enjoy it and it’s my release in summer. I know I’ll never be a single digit but it’s like a zen thing for me, it my meditation. Ray has mentioned similar feelings about his forecasting.

None of my posts were meant to touch on the "morality" of weather discussion. I was only pointing out that Coastal is sounding more and more like DIT. I was poking at Coastal only.

I’ve been saying this for years. If I leave VT when I retire, it will be this time period, maybe through May 15th. Thinking that where my brother lives in SW GA or the FL Panhandle would be good for those two months.

I actually may do that with Fridays next year. The issue is that most of my friends don't have that option. I know it's hard when the snow is low but there were still trails to set up, bridges re-decked and equipment that needed repairing. It's a gamble at times but the work goes on anyway.

Nice. I could have ridden more but I let work get in the way. Still, I had 3 or 4 decent but short rides.

As bad as it was, it was much better than the Upper Midwest. MN, MI and WI. Even the UP never really got going. I suppose there is still Quebec but a guy I know was supposed to be in the Gaspe this week and cancelled. New Brunswick shut down or will be soon.
