  1. Was rooting for Fleetwood. As soon as hit hit his second on 18 I knew it was wet.
  2. On the heels of the WGC and the one that Tiger is hosting at Riviera. A lot of these guys don’t do 3 in a row anymore.
  3. I was out yesterday so I couldn't watch the tournament live. I was going to watch it on replay but as soon I heard he won I decided not to.
  4. Read that. I’ve never cared for Reed and that just cements it.
  5. The putter reall let him down last week. At one point, I think I heard he missed 6 putts of less than 10'. You can't win doing that.
  6. Nice pics below. I live in Barre and work in Montpelier at the Attorney General’s office. Montpelier is a neat town. A couple of good restaurants. Pretty much shuts down after 5:00 and on weekends when all of us state employees go home.
  7. Capital Plaza? I work across the street.
  8. Watch out for drifting and white outs on your way up. The high elevation on I-89 between exits 3 and 7 can get particularly bad.
  9. Hopefully you’re here already Fozz. The roads are not good.
  10. I feel bad for Finau, he just can't seem to get over the finish line. I listened to quite a bit of it on satellite radio driving home from Maine. Stopped for dinner with Finau leading by 2, came back out to hear Simpson sink the winning putt.
  11. I’ve found the corporate world just isn’t designed for places like ours either. Member owned, lots of volunteer hours to keep things going. Golfer numbers dropping and most of those just want to pay a fee and play. They don’t want to be involved beyond that.
  12. The golf industry is tough. In much of the country it’s been overbuilt and the number of golfers has been dropping. High end courses so well but many are real estate ventures where the course is an amenity. This article talks about it. https://www.turfnet.com/news.html/tough-times-are-taking-the-fun-and-memories-out-of-golf-r834/
  13. You could get ours for less than $400k. It’s a bargain!
  14. Demographics and a 10 year hangover from tropical storm Irene. We had to borrow over $200k to repair from the floods and the debt service is eating us alive. We are a member owned 9 hole course and the golf business is tough enough when you only have 6 months per year at most to make your money.
  15. I’m just looking to keep the course I’m president of out of bankruptcy.
  16. Nice. That will be good for the Rangeley region.
  17. Sad day for winter sports lovers https://www.bostonglobe.com/sports/2019/11/21/end-jake-burton-was-smart-unflagging-champion-snowboarding/kdCQF7zWR9hq5rcRQiUzpJ/story.html?outputType=amp&event=event12
  18. Was just going to post this. Great news Me too
  19. Anecdotal but quite a bit of white visible on Killington this afternoon as we drove south on 89. Looks like they've been blowing full force.
  20. Not quite lol. Growing up I heard a lot about both events from old timers. I knew some old farmers that would tell you about things you could see that were remnants of the damage done by those events.
  21. I wonder why MRG didn't get in on that?
  22. This might appeal to some of you. https://vtdigger.org/2019/09/23/as-ski-giants-consolidate-small-independents-form-their-own-cooperative/?utm_source=VTDigger+Subscribers+and+Donors&utm_campaign=9875e19e33-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2019_09_24_09_38&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_dc3c5486db-9875e19e33-405566485
  23. In VT 1927 Flood 1938 Hurricane 1998 Ice Storm 2007 VDay Snowstorm 2011 TS Irene I listed the first two even though I obviously wasn’t around because they had such a profound impact that I remember hearing stories growing up from people who were there and seeing remnants of the damage from them. They were the two biggest weather events of the 20th century.
