  1. I’m just looking to keep the course I’m president of out of bankruptcy.
  2. Drove across NNE today to Millinocket, ME. The thin snowcover was noticeable through the Whites and western Maine. I have more snow at my house than much of that area. Bethlehem and Twin Mt. in NH wasn’t good at all. It was a little better through. Berlin and Gorham, NH. From Bethel, ME until north of Bangor it was thin to at time just about bare. Dryslot looks to be in a snow desert just about. Looks like good coverage here though.
  3. Good luck with temps like this posted on BTV's page this morning!
  4. When you click on the stations it is working though. Currently -3° at MPV
  5. Worst winter ever. This was BTV's "current" observations this morning
  6. You can really see the elevation impact on accumulation. I drive I-89 everyday and coming down the hill from Berlin to Montpelier and get a great view of the Worcester Range and bits of the Spine. The upper 1000' are almost completely white. It's like a line was drawn on the mountainsides.
  7. Nice. That will be good for the Rangeley region.
  8. Much less here away from the spine but pretty consistent flurry/light snow action over the last day or two. All snow is good snow, until April at least. By then I’m jonesing for some golf.
  9. As soon as someone shows any interest, online or in person lol. A few people start clicking on it and all of a sudden the price goes up, just like plane tickets.
  10. Made reservations in Millinocket for the weekend. I realize they don’t have much more snow than we do right now but I’m going to give it a go anyway. I’ve never been past Augusta so it will be great to see new country. I used to love watching that logging show that was based there so even if the riding isn’t great, I’m sure we’ll have a good time.
  11. @Dryslot (or any other Mainers) got the go ahead from the wife to head up next weekend. Thinking of Millinocket. How's the snow there? I know it would be better up in the county but Milli would be a bit shorter of a drive and seems like a decent split between the crowds of Rangeley and the County.
  12. Isn’t some of it the impact though? A lot fewer people in AK and the upper Midwest than in the east coast megalopolis. It’s the same thing here somewhat. Lots fewer posters in NNE than SNE so notable events In NNE receive less “coverage” than ones in SNE. Ray is a valuable and great poster but he personifies this. Anything in moose fart land just doesn’t pop up on his radar.
  13. I hope everything turns out ok Gene. Is he at Dartmouth? That’s a top notch facility. Best of luck.
  14. I have a friend who rides that area and he said basically the same thing, that it sounds like they got outsides the staked trail and too close to an inlet area. I hate riding on ice and avoid it if at all possible. It;s been more than 10 years since this happened and since that time most ice crossings in the state have been done away with. https://www.suncommunitynews.com/articles/the-sun/three-die-in-snowmobile-accident-on-frozen-lake/ http://lakeice.squarespace.com/lake-dunmore-tragedy/
  15. For us, it's the lack of retention is has been the issue
  16. And that was just for the microbrews you brought home!
  17. The car thermo ranged between -10° & 4° on the way into work
  18. I guess I wasn’t paying attention but I didn’t expect light snow tonight. Roads actually got a little greasy on the way home from grocery shopping. 10F on the car thermo.
  19. I think the Packers should retreat to the panic room
  20. 2.25” here. A little underwhelming, not that the 5” BTV progged for is all that overwhelming. Probably get a little more overnight. Went through some moderate type stuff on the way home from Waterbury. This stuff pretty much blew off the travel lane on 89. Did pass one car that was having a hard time going up the hill between exit 8 and 7. Looked like an SUV so they must have had really bad tires.
