  1. NH? I'm going down there for the hockey game vs. Harvard that night.
  2. PF, I think it's time you moved out of the condo to some more spacious diggs in Stowe. https://www.burlingtonfreepress.com/story/money/2018/10/22/766-acres-stowe-up-sale-cool-putnam-state-forest/1659626002/
  3. For all you hopheads there is another reason to visit northern VT for a beer tour https://www.sevendaysvt.com/vermont/lawsons-finest-liquids-opens-waitsfield-brewery/Content?oid=22172932
  4. It does pretty well. I don’t have #’s just times I’ve been down there. You’re going to do well at 1800’ just about anywhere in VT.
  5. No mention of the lot being barren of all trees due to the previous owner’s obsession with splitting firewood?
  6. I worked Friday and Saturday nights and Sunday until noon. Seemed like a bigger crowd than last year. I think I bought something from Shaker Hill. I picked up a new jacket and helmet for my son and new gloves fro my wife. Pretty decent deals and a lot easier crowds to manage than the grass drags in Epping, NH
  7. I chucked a few 's in your direction as I drove through the dirty Lew after leaving the snowmobile show yesterday. I always enjoy going up there and getting some preseason sled talk in.
  8. Drove home from Augusta, ME this afternoon. Took 302 through Alex’s hood. Blustery and cold all the way with snow showers in the higher elevations of NH and VT. Car thermo was 29 at the top of Crawford Notch. Was a nice way to end my weekend at the Maine Snowmobile Show.
  9. That storm still gives me nightmares. Lots of rain here while heavy snow not too far away.
  10. Truthfully, me either. I know Steve loves him some coastal impacts though.
  11. Which I believe is one of the op’s things.
  12. I actually think cloudy days are good for foliage. The colors really pop against a gray background.
  13. Maybe its because I spent the week before Columbus Day in SoCal but when I came back, I thought my area was having one of the more vibrant stretches in a while. It had seemed a little duller than usual before I left but I felt like it had really cranked up while I was gone.
  14. Looked like about .25" at home. My street was pretty slick.
  15. Snowing here too. Deck iced over and minor accumulation on the railing.
  16. These are the towns I really worry about. Most of the coverage focuses on Panama City and Mexico Beach but some of these small towns are so poor to begin with that this will be difficult to come back from. I wonder if some never rebuild.
  17. Why? It's likely he'll be at a golf course down south within a week.
  18. Going to be in Augusta working at the snowmobile show next weekend. I always enjoy going up there for this. Missed the grass drags in NH last week because I was in CA for work. That’s a great show. If you’ve never been you need to get there at least once.
  19. This. Every time I go down to PCB, generally every other year for the last 20, there are newer and bigger high rises set on the dunes. It looks like they survived for the most part but if this storm had come ashore 20 miles West I don’t know what would have happened to them.
  20. Ooh, you may be a tad late for the best stuff. I think peak around my locale in north-central VT peaked this week and we have started to see significant leaf drop. Maybe in the CPV or CTRV?
  21. The dollar signs are what started this discussion. The OP - sandysurvivor, said this would be the costliest storm ever. It’s very powerful and will certainly be devastating for that area. All that I am saying is that there is just a lot less to impact there. It would take an awful lot to reach Sandy levels of monetary damage.
  22. Ok. If it beats the estimated $65 billion in damages from Sandy I will humbly apologize. Until then, I just find it hard to compare the NYC Metro area to the area this storm is projected to impact.
