Not to distract from the endless Covid talk but I had a pretty cool weather day. Today was a travel say from the Black Hills to Cody, WY. When we left SD it was cool and damp. It rained on and off for a part of the way to Buffalo, WY and temps were in the low 60’s. I did not research the road between Buffalo and Cody though and did not realize it is actually called the Cloud Peak Scenic Skyway. https://travelwyoming.com/listings/cloud-peak-skyway-scenic-byway This road was spectacular and that was in pretty heavy rain. It tops out at 9666’ in the Powder River Pass and then goes down through the Ten Sleeps Canyon. On top the car thermo read 40° and there was graupel mixed with rain at times. The peaks around the pass still had patches of snow, I thought of your dog PF. On the other side we went through a huge stretch of arid, empty land and the temp got up to 83°. We are in Cody now and will do some exploring tomorrow. Wyoming is crazy and we haven’t even gotten to Yellowstone or the Tetons yet.

Me too, at the Home Depot in W. Leb. Lebanon city ordinance was still in place.

Traffic jam in S. Dakota today

Yesterday at the Custer State Park welcome center I had a guy ask me if I had seen any cars with NH plates. He was keeping track of all the different states he’d seen and hadn’t seen one yet. On a weather note, it was pretty warm yesterday, our car thermo hit 104° on the way to the Badlands. We also saw some good lightning but skirted around the main part of a decent storm near Rapid City.

Long day today. Mt. Rushmore and then backtracked to the Badlands.

I saw 2 cars with Mass plates today and wondered if either was you. One was a silver Fusion on the Needles highway and the other was Suburban pulled over looking at som bison.

It’s been beautiful. Hit some storms outside Chicago and then a severe warned cell in Minnesota but the weather has been fantastic other than that.

One thing out here in the Black Hills, no dews so the nights are pretty pleasant. In the mid 80’s today.

Looks like about a third of an inch at home and still raining. My wife said it had been thundering.

I’ve been married 20 years. I read and watch a lot of tv.

Wow. Just checked the temp back at home and it’s already 81.6°. It’s going to be a scorcha! A comfortable 61.2° here in Sioux Falls, SD as we head towards the Black Hills.

I didn’t watch much but the SiriusXM guys thought there was way too much focus on Tiger/Rocco on Saturday.

Just caught that after checking in to our hotel. 18 wasn’t much better. He had the whole world right.

A number of years ago, my brother in law got a 300 lb bear during bow season. Seeing that hanging after it was skinned was freaky. Almost looked human. Really muscular.

Hell of a recovery shot though. If he can make the putt to stay one back, he eagled it yesterday.

I drove through some rain in northern Indiana yesterday but was dry by the time we got to Chicago. The lawn at the Wisconsin welcome center was pretty crisp.

I’ve been driving all day since we left the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame around 3:30 so I listened to a lot of it. Rory played well and Bryson did ok. I feel bad for Bland.

I used to do 10 cent drafts up in Burlington on Tuesday nights. That did some damage. I’ll just say that I don’t think Milwaukee’s Best actually is.

Wow, when I stopped listening it was at +4 and they pretty much figured that was where it was going to stay.

That's what I like about Alone. None of this tropical weather stuff. Much more interesting having to deal with cold and snow.
