  1. Yep. I even get tickled by that finger of darker gold in central VT.
  2. Yes, that’s the one I snipped from. I’ve just never figured out how to bookmark it on my iPhone.
  3. Bring him along. Tell him it’s a surprise party.
  4. @ORH_wxmanhas posted the link a few times. I have it on my laptop and I’m on my phone now. If he doesn’t post it I will when I log in to it tomorrow.
  5. Walden and Danville are really great for snow. Morrisville to Hardwick is decent for snow but I never considered it all that special until you climbed towards Walden. Do you remember the Coles' Pond Weather Cam? Coles Pond is in Walden at 2200'. The snow they get up there is spectacular. Great area to ride snowmobiles. Joe's Pond in Danville is lower elevation but still really nice and gets good snow. I don't have the savvy of PF to be able to explain why but I do know the area pretty well. I have friend's who have a camp on the eastern side of Rt.15 between Hardwick and Wolcott at about 1500' and I spend a fair amount of time there in the fall. Here is the elevation map of the area
  6. Ha! And @Damage In Tollandsaid we wouldn’t have any snow left!
  7. Seeing the pictures out of KY really puts my whining about the lack of snow in perspective. I know it’s apples to oranges but I’d rather deal with our crappy weather than that.
  8. @J.Spin I thought of you while watching that Bolton Valley show. They devoted a fair bit to the back country part.
  9. Just watched a shot movie on VT PBS about Bolton Valley. Ralph DesLauriers was saying they were supposed to open December 15, 1966 but there was no snow at all. He was having dinner with a local priest who said grace and mentioned they could really use some snow. He said it started snowing half an hour later and continued for something like 54 hours and dumped like 48”. They were able to open for Christmas and had a decent snow year after that.
  10. The most insulting part of that month is that it wasn’t warm overall. Just horrible timing.
  11. Pretty cool day. High of 23° currently 19°
  12. Heaviest snowfall of the event just rolled through.
  13. Down to 37°. Pretty sure I some cat paws mixing in the way home from my meeting. Of course could have been fat rain drops.
  14. I always heard +7 mph was safe anywhere but a school zone. But I’ve come to think that as long as you’re not being aggressive or erratic or out of whack with the conditions, you’re ok.
  15. That would have been one hell of a gradient lol.
  16. That’s not Dendrite is it? We are in CON for the night and saw a couple of stray flurries but that was it.
