  1. I’m done with it. Don’t need it, I can’t do anything with it now.
  2. Our golf course superintendent would aerate once at the end of May and once at the end of August. Seemed to work well for him. Of course adjust for climate.
  3. Underwater drone tests in the NEK https://vtdigger.org/2021/03/21/arctic-scientists-test-underwater-drone-on-willoughby-lake/
  4. Same with snowmobiling. I always wear a balaclava under my helmet so when that’s off, I pull it up over my nose and mouth if I’m close to other people.
  5. I would have guessed that the snowmobiling community was a bit more “anti-mask” than most but I saw very good adherence in general nearly everywhere you would expect it. Like you guys said though, what’s the purpose when you’re not physically close to anyone and outside? As far as immune systems go, I agree as well. Exposure to stuff early is what builds immunity to all sorts of disease. I don’t think we want to mess with that all that much.
  6. Has to be right. I put away all the snow removal equipment today.
  7. The credit union we used for our first mortgage didn’t do escrow. I hated it. When we refinanced the first time we went to a bank that has escrow. We are now back with our credit union and now they escrow. I’m glad that I have one payment a month and don’t have to worry about late taxes or insurance payments. Of course using my local credit union means I have a little more trust than with some big lender.
  8. Still just feels like someone punched me in the arm. No other effects.
  9. Now that I don’t run a golf course that is very vulnerable to drought, I am less concerned than I used to be.
  10. Second shot 4 hours ago. No effects yet.
  11. Or break it into 3 11”ers, one each in D,J and F. Then the winter looks ok with a crappy March
  12. The fact that we got that heavy, wet snow to establish a base after the grinch storm and it never thawed was way salvaged the season for us. Further east, where they got screwed, never really recovered.
  13. That’s a good explanation. By this time, I’m getting antsy for golf. I’ll do winter stuff as long as conditions permit but I start mentally turning the page about March 15th or so.
  14. Yes, retention was not great. This year we didn’t suffer a lot of loss between new year and March. It was a solid stretch that would have been better with more snow. I rate it a C- It was good for a relatively short time.
  15. It was pretty crappy by this time anyway. Closing snowmobile trails was pretty much a moot point when that happened. We had a couple of events that created solid ice ribbons. I think there were a few trails open around Woodford but it was not much.
  16. There are 2 guys that have lived up to or exceeded the hype that preceded them turning pro, Tiger and Lebron. You can legitimately argue if they are the greatest ever in their sports or not but nobody has lived up to that level hype like them. Maybe the Williams sisters in tennis come close, especially Serena. There are so many who can’t live up to expectations and these guys were hyped more than anyone and from a performance standard, these guys have delivered. Having said that, I understand some of the disdain. Lebron made a stupid call by doing “The Decision” and his silence on China is pretty bad. But he has been a very active and positive force in his community. Of course we all know the issues Tiger has had. I don’t get the absolute hate though. I am a huge anti-Pats fan but I respect the greatness of Tom Brady and would never denigrate his performance.
  17. Second dose of Moderna this Friday.
  18. This is a neat idea/product https://www.bostonglobe.com/2021/03/16/business/new-hampshire-ski-lift-entrepreneurs-innovate-with-products-backyards-resorts/?et_rid=745095886&s_campaign=todaysheadlines:newsletter
  19. If that happens, I’m packing up the sleds and visiting Mitchland.
  20. I used to listen to WFAN out of NYC just because I could pick up the AM signal after sundown pretty reliably and stations from Boston were pretty sketchy. During the day I would listen to the ESPN lineup. Eventually I got tired of just about all sports talk though. Every host hammers the same topics and you hear stuff just beat into the ground. I listen to a sports station form the UK, talkSport. I've been increasingly getting into English football so a lot of it is all new but they are better about the variety of topics they discuss. Some of it is that a lot of their topics are new to me but they also discuss golf, boxing and other sports like track and field occasionally. They even talk NFL weekly.
  21. I go back and forth. I've never minded the early sunsets in winter. I sort of like that feeling. On the other hand, I work from a home office so later sunrises don't really bother me either. What I do hate is having to change twice a year. Lets split the difference and and stay there year round.
  22. NWS forecast for the week looks like perfect sap run weather. Upper 30’s and low to mid 40’s for highs and dropping below freezing at night. Feels like March.
  23. Good thing you didn’t have to go there. I hear it’s so dry that mulch bursts into flames just driving by.
