  1. We learned our lesson, specifically with floors so I went the paid route. I’m sure our marriage could have survived a second attempt at installing floors ourselves.
  2. I don’t do any of it…. I have a 17 year old son. He mulches or puts the bag on the mower when too thick.
  3. In southern NH for the weekend. Staying in Hampton Beach
  4. A picture of the completely green forest that is at least a month away from changing?
  5. Meh. October snows make for beautiful pictures when there is still bright foliage but they don't do much for me. As we get into November, they get more meaningful. By the time December starts, I want the ground to start getting covered.
  6. Saw Gov’t Mule quite a few times in BTV. Some great shows. On Church St. for Mardi Gras, in a small club on Lower Church St. and probably the best set of live music I’ve ever personally been in the audience for at Memorial Auditorium. They’ve gotten a little noodlely and jammy for me but I really loved that original trio. Oh and I love this song.
  7. It’s been so wet down there that the meaning of Stein has been reduced to referring to a partly sunny afternoon in SNE.
  8. There had been some noise about expanding the use of the existing power line ROWs in VT but that may have been to replace the Northern Pass that got shut down in NH. Not sure if that was just a pie in the sky dream but I would think it would be a better option if at all feasible.
  9. We use powerlines for a lot of trails already.
  10. It would work ok for our normal nickle and dime stuff. No blockbusters up here for sure though.
  11. Have these obs been run through AMWX quality control in Weymouth?
  12. Hydro-Quebec isn't all that green though. VT gets 50% of it's power from HQ. They have their own set of environmental problems. As for transmission lines, we have big corridors through the NEK and personally, I haven't heard a lot of complaints. https://vtdigger.org/2021/02/17/is-vermonts-use-of-hydroquebec-power-greenwashing/
  13. @Ginx snewx Thought of you when I read this article. The researcher is an environmental science major at URI. https://www.bostonglobe.com/2021/10/04/metro/using-seashells-sustainable-drinking-water-treatment/?rss_id=section_rss_full&s_campaign=bg:full:rss:section&et_rid=745095886&s_campaign=businessheadlines:newsletter
  14. Yep. It’s one of the more annoying things about living here. If it’s such a great place, why aren’t people proud to share it? Isn’t it a compliment when someone could choose just about anywhere to live and they choose your area?
  15. Pretty mild change down in the Upper Valley. Really noticeable as as you head down the hill towards exit 3.
  16. My favorite lake. I have permission from my wife to divorce her for anyone who comes along that takes an interest in me (lol, fat chance) who owns a home in Willoughby.
