27.7 with freezing fog less than a quarter (1/8th?) of a mile vis IMBY. Nasty morning for driving.

I also do the lakes - nothing is as intense as LES. I did a chase in the Sierra last winter which was epic but paled to being under an Erie/Ontario band. You’ll know I’m @Snowshoe because my truck with (albeit not perfectly laid out, but still cool imo) plates will be in the lot with a guy shoveling for fun.

I think you’re going to need a little more elevation than Deep Creek. I live just south of the lake and plan on heading to Snowshoe. Since it’s off season, it’s cheap - and 4,800 feet. Since you’re making the effort, thought I’d suggest a plan B for ya.

My mother in law - who is 73 years old - is visiting from Ecuador and has never seen falling snow (hell, she might as well be from DC). Anyways it would be a real treat if we got some snow before she leaves on the 26th. Thanks for sharing.

Front is through - 56.3 breezy degrees after a midnight temp of 68(!). Enough rain to wet the ground but the station imby didn't register any precip. Beautiful fall weekend coming up.

I've averaged 48 degree swings before today. Car encased in ice then damn near 80 in the afternoon. Wild.

Chipping away at the drought - 0.70" since yesterday afternoon and 2.25" for the month (most of it in last 8 days).

0.56" - first decent rain since Debby's remnants came through. My Mom died Saturday night and was an avid gardener and it felt like she sent the rain. I'd like to think so at least.

Glad the radar was colorful but once again not in MLP. 0.02” for the day and 0.19” for the month. About 5” since the beginning of June. Should be around 25.

I got up to 74.8 today...most of the past 10 days I've seen basically Ely, NV weather...the diurnal spread has been between 35 and 40 degrees. I'll wait until we are due to get some rain to patch up the yard after I singed the F out of about 20% of the grass w/too heavy fertilizer spread in the spring

This morning was the first in over a week where I didn't end up in the 40s (or 30s earlier in the week) at 52.5. Colors are starting to pop beyond the (beautiful) sugar maples although I think drought stress is contributing more to that than just the warm days/cool nights. Sure as hell be nice to get some rain. I'm sitting at 0.12" for the month so far.

I was curious how you did last night. Fairly decent amount of frost here as the low was 35.6. The NWR always amazes me.
