  1. Not aimed at Phin, quote for good idea… This goes for anyone stressed about COVID (restrictions or sickness, equal levels of stress these days it seems) or even any daily life stress at all. Two things linked to lower stress…. Outdoor activity and dogs. Get a dog, go outside and find something to laugh about…. Sounds like a goddamn Men’s Health article but it’s true. I know some think I just hike mountains all day but believe it or not I do work and THEN grab the dog and head outside for a couple hours each evening. If anyone thinks they are the only ones who get stressed over work, ha! 6-8pm this time of year (or 4:30-6:30am) are the golden hours this time of year. Get outside, big fan. Even something as simple as floating around a pond in a kayak, wandering some local naturalist trails, take the kids, whatever. The head clearing is incredible when you are outside in the water, woods, etc. Highly recommend. And dogs. Everyone needs more dogs. Ginxy knows. </end camp counselor hippy bullshit from a white bread suburban kid who found the outdoors peaceful>
  2. Huge fan of pickled eggs. Fantastic protein and nutrient packed snack with a tang.
  3. And HubbDave never returned to Worcester County ever again. He ended up buying the Air Bnb.
  4. Definitely feeling hot and humid after the last 7-9 days. Yesterday as expected a week ago was the last of the dews in the 50s. 82/63 now. Oddly very hazy. Not quite the smoke show but visibilities 6-9sm at the ASOS all day.
  5. I've got those fukkers set to "don't auto-update"... good way to ruin your day when that thing updates overnight and you wake up and are like WTF is this?
  6. Not only that but they trust medicine. They trust the process. Just as they dispense prescriptions to people and schedule procedures, many that have side effects. Medical professionals trust the process.
  7. Curious if you mean medical staff or other staff? I know like Nursing Homes had a huge issue not with their medical staff but others who work there... admin, custodial, maintenance, etc.
  8. NAM run comes out with 1-3" grazing the coast but someone thinks its really "signaling" 6-12 back to "the river."
  9. Masks are easy for employers... it is an extremely easy way to reduce liability. Like making an employee wear a hard hat or any other PPE like safety glasses. Big step from there to vaccination status but masks are extremely easy no brainer for a company's legal team IMO.
  10. Yeah that's been my experience, anyone I know associated at all to the medical field has gotten it, from first responders to nurses to hospital staff to primary care offices, family, family friend's in the field, etc. There's no doubt you can find some or a couple if you look for them by I'd wager the vast, vast majority have gotten the vaccination working in those settings. Is there a medical professional on this forum who hasn't?
  11. That's awesome man. Enjoy it! Bomb this thread with photos daily.
  12. These statements resonate. If you can make money or gain wealth, the people in this country try by any means available...even using the court system. We are sue-happy, but still that can be hard to blame sometimes because mistakes happen. It's like instant reply in sports. Humans need that chance to look back on a spur-of-the-moment judgment call in real time. That's what the court system does. Hopefully it tries to follow the law as best as possible. But money usually wins. If only it was as cut and dry as an instant replay in sports.
  13. Never an elbow bumper... but will give a fist bump at times when a high-five used to be warranted. Bottom of a fun powder ski run, that's fist bump time. Like if you are finishing up an awesome snowmobile ride, hand shake seems too formal? That's when you just want to say good day dude, give the fist bump. Might be trendy but it has it's moment. Can't be overused.
  14. I think it depends. As someone who was instructed that firing an individual for failing to comply with state and company guidelines last winter. I know you are dealing with much higher wage employees who likely take it very seriously... more than a youngster just bouncing around ski bumming after college... but if you fire people for violating company policy, and you make those guidelines company policy, I think legally you have a good shot. You could make them wear red shirts on Tuesday if you want to. Uniform policy. Non disclosure policies. I think legally the issue would be if a COVID test is a violation of personal information. As long as there is another option besides getting the jab (no matter how ridiculous it is), employers will be ok here. It's annoying but it's the same as if a company was like hey, you need to ride public transportation or you need to get your car inspected weekly. My biggest question is... does the employer pay for the weekly COVID testing? If they do and it's company policy, it's just like any other policy IMO that an employee has to follow. It will be interesting to follow legally. People may start becoming more likely to litigate their employers the longer it drags on.
  15. Four inches? Transient dustings.
  16. Liquidate it all. Move to Randolph.
  17. I’d share a beer with you and give you a hug .
  18. Business owners all around are making those decisions. You’re the big boss. This seems very personal. I read it all, it’s entertaining. But I’ll never believe there aren’t some serious amphetamines getting housed in this thread for some to stay so laser focused on this topic from morning to night. It’s like in college when a friend says take this, it’ll help with your paper and then you write a 19-page introduction paragraph. It’s the only way to stay so astutely focused on a topic all day every day.
  19. This thread is like team sports forum but society… very weird. Suggest more in here get outside once in a while. Just to get away from hammering Adderall and settling in for 12 hours of debate.
  20. Were the westward NAM runs correct or was that just like winter?
  21. Reality so far. NAM looks pretty wrong for those pimping it.
