  1. Back before liability insurance rates crushed all of them. When they just had to cover property taxes, some maintenance and property insurance rates.
  2. About a half inch and light snow with the warm front lifting through. 18F.
  3. This little event turned out pretty well for the ski area. 6-7" of fluff at the office. Probably .20" QPF. Stuff will vaporize in this warm up.
  4. I lost it January 2014 when we had something like more inches of rain than inches of snow and there was a frozen lake in my yard… while Philly ripped off like their 5th Winter Storm Warning, ha. “Leon” winter. Cutter, arctic air, no upslope, then Philly snowstorm… cutter, arctic air, no upslope, Philly snowstorm… repeat. Mother Nature didn’t reward me for my melt dammit!
  5. Every time we start really getting natural stuff in play (we opened some natural snow trails today that’ll be closed by Sat AM), it rains again. Like someone said up thread, sounds like eastern skiing .
  6. That will go down in infamy. Right after losing it over sledding in 2” on top of mud, it snowed 100” in 3 weeks.
  7. Added another 2” today at 1500ft. Storm total between 6-7” of total fluff. Tire tracks are storm total. Looks like 1/2” today at home. 4” depth. All of it fluff, it’ll disappear fast on Saturday ha.
  8. It’s still snowing pretty hard at the mountain. Just total fluff.
  9. Good stuff out there this morning on Mansfield!
  10. Town looks absolutely beautiful. Just ripping big fluffy flakes. I had another 2.25" overnight. Total of 4" in two 12 hour periods but more like 3.5" on the ground with settling. Standing wave right down Mountain Road with the steadiest snow in the village rather than the mountain oddly enough. Pretty cool when we get these standing waves off Mansfield's Chin. Just fluffing straight down in town. Drive up the road was beautiful with fluff on every little twig it seemed like.
  11. The NW flow fluffed us up last night. Looked beautiful driving through town. Event total of ~4" after 2.25" of absolute dust overnight.
  12. This new stuff will evaporate quickly when it warms up, but I will say there’s been at least some snow cover for many of us the past couple weeks. The sales team at Snow.Inc has had auto-replenish set to on with several light events that keep the ground white.
  13. Nice man, that stoke is the winter vibe this time of year.
  14. It’s true, ha. But the cold season also has larger standard deviations for temps than the warm season. More likely to see huge departures in cold season.
  15. 1.75” here at 6:30. Moon starting to show.
  16. Did measure and it was a bit less than my eyeball test. 1.75” here. Thought it was a solid two or two and a quarter but nope, that’s why we measure .
  17. We are probably nearing 2”. Will measure on the elevated board closer to 00z. It’s total fluff. A 15mph breeze would completely clean the SUV off.
  18. Yeah just really picked up. About an inch of fluff on wife’s car at home. This is the fluff that you can see the grass “through” it here lol.
  19. -SN setting the holiday mood while running holiday errands in Stowe Village.
  20. About a half inch of the lightest falling snow ever. I think the sun has been out all morning too. Classic dim sun -SN.
  21. You can see the model 2m temps trying to pick out cold pockets and warmth mixing in later next week with CAD pockets. Pretty cool.
