  1. This weekend should feature above normal temperatures and still humid before we see a nice cool down to start the new work week and that should last through much of the new work week. Sunday looks like our last above normal temperature day for at least the next week or so. There are some rain and storm chances especially across Western Chester and SE Berks Counties later this afternoon into the evening. Otherwise dry through at least mid-week.

  3. Most folks across the north and west parts of the county saw little rain (under 0.05")....much different across other spots with West Grove 1.39" / Nottingham 2.33" / Avondale 1N 0.55" / Kennett Square 1.26" / Devault 1.70". We do have a chance at some more showers this afternoon. Mainly dry and sunny weather looks likely for the weekend. Of note most spots across Chester County have not experienced any days over 90 degrees so far here in August. The exceptions were West Chester and Devault yesterday. Most spots in the county look to have potentially their next shot at a 90-degree temperature on Sunday with highs well into the 80's. As we move through next week temperatures begin to cool back down to not far from normal levels with some higher spots seeing highs mainly in the 70's by mid-week.

  5. Showers and thunderstorms are becoming more likely as we move toward later this afternoon and into the night. For most spots this will be our first measurable rain since August 1st. The sun returns by Friday with above normal temperatures through the weekend and then cool back to near to below normal by early in the new work week. Our best chance at what could very well be our last 90 plus day of the summer looks to be Sunday.

  7. Yesterday was our 11th straight below normal temperature day here in East Nantmeal to start the month of August. Today we should finally see above normal temperatures and they look like they should last through the week and into the weekend. We should see temperatures in the mid to upper 80's for the rest of the work week and maybe reaching the 90's by Sunday. We have been dry so far this month so the potential shower later tomorrow into the evening will be welcomed by our many area farmers and green thumbs.

  9. We should see for some spots today recording their first above normal temperature day so far here in August. The humidity will also increase. The warmest day of the work week should be tomorrow with temperatures well up into the 80's and maybe touching 90 degrees in some of the valley locations. A front should pass through the area on Wednesday night which should bring the humidity down toward the end of the week. We could see some showers and thunderstorms with the front by Wednesday evening. Next weekend looks sunny with increasingly warm temperatures.

  11. Yesterday was our 3rd record low of the month here in East Nantmeal besting the old record set Saturday in 2006 (records back to 2004) This is nowhere close to the County record of 49 degrees set in Phoenixville back in 1989. We should see a warming trend starting today with temperatures even here in East Nantmeal reaching the 80's for just the 2nd time this month. We continue to warm through Wednesday when some lower spots will likely reach 90 degrees. A few degrees cooler to close out the week with a chance of showers starting Wednesday evening.

  13. A beautiful weekend is underway! After a chilly start with many spots well down into the 50's with the lowest at our typical chilliest station at the Warwick DEOS with a low at 51.1 degrees. Both today and tomorrow will continue our run of below normal average temperatures but with high temperatures getting close to normal both days. We finally get back to normal August levels by Monday and continue warming with some low spots touching 90 degrees by Wednesday. We stay dry through Wednesday, but shower chances begin to creep up by that night and through the end of the week.

  15. With today's high/low splits of 76.0/56.7 we have now recorded our 8th straight below normal day to kick off the month of August. This August is now off to the chilliest start (avg. temp of 67.6) in my 22 years here in East Nantmeal. The prior chilliest was back in 2013 with an average temperature of 68.3

  17. From Dr. Wielicki on the Phoenix Sky Harbor UHI heat "record" When do we stop using airports for climate records? The 118 °F reading lasted no more than five minutes. It occurred at 3:40 pm, 3:50 pm, 3:55 pm, and 4:00 pm, smack in the afternoon departure rush. Winds blew west at 7–9 kts, gusting past 17 kts, steering engine exhaust directly onto the sensor, which sits just 80 m east of Runway 25. The moment departures thinned, the temperature slipped back to 117 °F, matching the previous mark. "That single, exhaust-driven blip will now live forever in national climate datasets, nudging trendlines upward and gifting climate alarmists another talking point. This is not science, this is taxpayer-funded fraud that siphons wealth and freedom under a veneer of “records.”"
  18. Another chilly start of the day across much of the area with temperatures well down into the 50's. The chilliest station I could find was the Warwick DEOS station at 52.1 degrees. Through the first week of August we are running almost 7 degrees below normal temperatures for the month. We should slowly start to turn this temperature deficit around during the next week. We start a solid warming trend on Sunday with temperatures finally getting back to above normal levels. By mid-week some of the lower elevation spots may reach the 90's with increasing humidity to add to the discomfort. The week looks dry with maybe our first shot of rain arriving by later Thursday.

  20. Silence the non-believer!!! ChescoWx is a heretic LOL!!!!
  21. A great stretch of weather ahead with slowly warming temperatures. After a weekend with below normal temperatures with overnight lows in the 50’s and highs not too far from 80 degrees we should see temps getting well into the 80's by the start of the new work week. There could even be some 90's especially as usual across the valley locations by the middle of the week. No rain chances till at least Wednesday.

  23. I suspect many on this very forum are members of this "climate church" and if you fail to kneel at this "altar" you are a "denier" So great to see common sense and real science and true dialog coming back into the public debate! climate church.mp4
  24. Tip....a true scientists never use the word denier. “Denier” is a clear slur—intended to smear anyone who questions science. Science of course is and should always be constantly questioned. It is also impossible to be skeptical” of climate. Climate just is...it is a physical system, not a belief or proposition.
