    5th is in tough shape. 8th is on the table but that is not a lock by any means. It could go either way and I would not get confident with that.

    Day 5 event is on life support. Never say never, but you need a nice move at 12z or else.

    I always give my honest opinion. Do I like to joke, sure....but I think even a week ago we had some signs it was coming. While we don’t know how long it will last or how bad....I would expect a period of milder wx post 12/10. Maybe it will be like week 3 on the weeklies and still offer chances. We just don’t know. Let’s all hope we can get something next week.

    No I said it’s coming around that time, post 12/10. That was based on all the above that I mentioned.

    Week three is interesting, because a pattrrn like that would promote a lot of high-pressure in Canada. It is not a cold look, but would offer storm chances. And if you have high pressure with a serviceable air mass, things can happen. Likewise, there may be a torch all involved too.

    I’ve been saying this for a week and some of you guys aren’t getting it, but let me make this clear. We are now seeing all models in the 11 to 15 days show this relaxation. The weeklies show this relaxation. The tropics Are moving into a state that is conducive to this relaxation. It’s also Climo for this type of pattern. So for some of you who simply cannot understand that a two week respite is unfathomable, I do not know what to tell you.

    Week 3 and 4 were the worst. Week 3 May be ok but still an ugly Pacific.

    In all seriousness, Boston is going to have a massive * this season. They have observing issues.

    Glad we don’t live there, even though I can see it from my house.

    Bingo and that’s what some of the snowier members show. Sometimes you do get these improvements, but it could see shred and wait until offshore to get together.

    The GEFS more or less have been showing GOAK trough vs AK black hole. That isn’t great usually here but can be ok farther interior. We shall see.

    6z GEFS looked squashed verbatim.

    Not sure if PV will get involved giving how far apart it is currently, but all ensembles look better than the op runs.
