Those were more realistic than what was shown yesterday. They're still pretty weenie-ish in storms..esp interior. Like, areas that aren't really warm sectored.

Yeah and it's brief it seems. I think NYC peaked. So, that is where the LLJ really is where lapse rates steepen and we're able to mix.

The center of this will be a little broader and sort of oblong. So the exact center position won't matter too much.

Looks like strongest winds there at 950 are in between the times you posted. That's how fast it will be moving. In and out.

The key is behind the line of shwrs. That's when laps rates steepen and when best winds occur. Not ahead of it.

I think it is possible at your elevation. You basically need to mix, so note I said "possible." That's the difference between 40 and 60.

Ryan posted the OKX sounding at 12 Z. That is pretty nuts for NYC.

I do think the threat is real in SW CT for sure.
