  1. I know we all love the history making storms. I this crazy world we are all living, give me the nickel/dimers every 2-3 days. Love the constant action and it being a snowy day on a regular candence.
  2. I’d estimate somewhere around 8” here. Awesome storm!
  3. We gotta be at 6 here. How many more hours do we have?
  4. Was over in Weymouth to run an errand with my kids at the CVS by Nikos about 45 mins ago. Pounding here too.
  5. Snow starting here. I’m liking the snow growth trend already vs last storm.
  6. After Monday’s debacle, I will be very happily accept a nice 4-6” event tomorrow. somewhat off topic, but had to take a ride up to Westford yesterday. The snow pack from Lexington on out is impressive. You can tell how durable that pack is.
  7. Am I imagining it, or was HRRR the one to sniff out the quick change to rain in the last storm that some of us shrugged off?
  8. This beyond surreal watching these posts. Hard to think of the last time South Shore was this shut out of a storm.
  9. This thing is over here...its white raining.
  10. @CoastalWxcould it be that last week will be the bigger storm here?
  11. Nothing happening here - spitting occasional snow. Could be cooked (not that ample warning was not there).
  12. Took a walk outside with the dogs this morning. About 31F here. This one has me nervous...hope this isn’t 2” of snow to rain/slop.
  13. I’m not sure I’ve been this uncertain going into a storm. Admittedly living down here on South Shore can bring its challenges geographically. right now I feel like it could be 4” or 10” - should be an interesting day tomorrow.
  14. We are somewhere between 4-5" here in Hingham and still coming down pretty good here. I'm an admitted lurker to the group and have seen the December to Remember fodder. I know the totals are not epic yet, but this is an absolute gift when we consider the last 5-6 Decembers (or January's). Hard to knock flakes flying every few days. I'll take the nickel/dimers, with the occasional bigger storm any winter.
  15. This entire evolution is fascinating. I work on the Hingham/Rockland line and it is absolutely pouring. Hard not to get excited about the potential of being in the thick of a 3-6 incher tomorrow tomorrow. Not going to be the biggest storm, but beats a cold rain. Especially when you consider it is 12/2-12/3.
  16. Exactly. Love the Landing area. Huge fan of the Craft Beer Cellar store.
  17. If I’m not mistaken you are another South Shore guy. How much for you?
  18. 14.5 here in Hingham. You remember each storm for something different. The duration and intensity of this storm is unlike most I can remember. The only other one that comes to mind was when we were living in Cambridge during the winter of 2010-11. Remember being out at a bar till around 1230 with meh snow and the next morning having similar amounts of snow.
  19. Two questions... 1 - will we have to worry about the March sun angle eating into totals or will the dynamics overcome that? 2 - where are the goalposts on South Shore totals? 6-10," with maybe some surprise zones of 12-15"?
  20. Amazing the difference between our locales. I’m in Hingham, right where Hull and Cohasset meet (off 3A). I’d put us at 3-4” but definitely piling up quickly now.
  21. I'm pretty excited for this one in Hingham. It feels like that corridor from Marshfield/Scituate up to Hingham/Weymouth and inland to Brockton / Rockland is going to be the jackpot area. Jackpot is of course relative here (e.g. I "only" got 24 inches vs I got 35"). Thoughts? Just curious, what is the all-time record high snow ever recorded in the Providence to Boston corridor? Seeing some of the QPF output on these models begs the question if this storm could put down a record-setting total.
