  1. Hail twice last evening and wet snow flakes today. Happy Easter!
  2. I didn't think you could be a bigger a****** than you already were, but you have proved me wrong.
  3. Was thinking the same thing. Every operating system that automatically updates clocks for DST would have to be reconfigured. I don't know much about that, and maybe it is an easy fix, but there are probably lots of other systems that will need more attention.
  4. O Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling From glen to glen and down the mountainside The summer's gone and all the roses falling 'Tis you, 'tis you must go and I must bide But come ye back when summer's in the meadow Or all the valley's hushed and white with snow 'Tis I'll be here in sunshine or in shadow O Danny boy, O Danny boy, I love you so When winter's come and all the flowers are dying And I am dead, as dead I well may be You'll come and find the place where I am lying And kneel and say an "Ave" there for me But I shall hear though soft you tread above me And all my grave shall warmer, sweeter be And you will bend and tell me that you love me And I shall sleep in peace until you come to me O Danny boy, the stream flows cool and slowly And pipes still call and echo 'cross the glen Your broken mother sighs and feels so lowly For you have not returned to smile again So if you've died and crossed the stream before us We pray that angels met you on the shore And you'll look down, and gently you'll implore us To live so we may see your smiling face once more Once more Also, the poem that was turned into "Over the River and Through the Woods" was written in 1844 which appears to be near the end of The Little Ice Age, so a snowy Thanksgiving was probably more common. Jerry might be able to confirm what Thanksgiving was like in 1844.
  5. That was my fear as well, but I am fully vaccinated and boosted. Been a week now since I tested positive. Did a home test last night and it was negative but went for a real test this morning and it was positive. At least it is easy to change my flight. Was out about an hour ago and could barely stand in the wind. Lots of flooding south of Manchester with lots of trains canceled. Enjoy London. Will be there in May. 6. I'm up north in Manchester and it has been storm after storm with even a little snow yesterday. Wind has been crazy at times. Stuck here after testing positive for covid. Can't fly home until I get a negative test. Feel bad about missing yesterday's squalls. Sent from my SM-T220 using Tapatalk
  7. Beer! Today's keg and cask lineup at the Piccadilly Tap, one of my favorite pubs in Manchester. Sent from my SM-A505U using Tapatalk
  8. Sitting outside with a nice chocolate porter cask ale in Manchester UK. 54 and cloudy, but no rain. Vacation and beer! Sent from my SM-A505U using Tapatalk
  9. Crazy. I got up and looked at my phone, and the NWS app was showing -9 (from OWD) for the 6 AM reading. Went and checked my backyard reading and it was 6. Guess I don't radiate much.
  10. No idea how much in Randolph, but drifting is impressive. Sent from my SM-A505U using Tapatalk
  11. Likewise! Heaviest of the day so far and nearing whiteout. Sent from my SM-T220 using Tapatalk
  12. Crazy in the band south of Boston now. Still small flake size, but visibility is well under 100 yards. No idea how much we have so far, but the drifting will be impressive. Temp down to 17. Sent from my SM-A505U using Tapatalk
  13. Heading to England next week. I'll try to find the pub where the crazy uncle hangs out. A few pints and a few single malts, and he'll be putting out enough major blizzards to keep George happy.
  14. Flying to England on February 2nd, so you can probably look that in to %#@* up my travel plans,
  15. Right on the ocean. Apparently they are very fond of duck as well. Sent from my SM-T220 using Tapatalk
  16. What a treat. Snowy owl in Middletown RI. Seems to have taken up residence for the winter. Sent from my SM-A505U using Tapatalk
  17. As long as guests Don't Look Back in Anger! Think I'll try to find this place the next time I'm over there.
