  1. I understand the science, I just think it is useless unless you just want to sit and look at it. Terrible for any actual fun activities.
  2. Why would people actually want an ice covered snowpack? Useless for most outdoor activities.
  3. Heavy snow now. Let's see if it holds up.
  4. Bordering on heavy now all of a sudden. Let's see if it holds up.
  5. Moderate baking powder here now and visibility has lowered. A few larger flakes mixing in now.
  6. Steady light snow here with lots of small flakes. Almost moderate about a half hour ago, but lighter now.
  7. Temp up to 35 from 28 at 8:00. Sent from my SM-A505U using Tapatalk
  8. Back to snow and 33F. Maybe an inch or two of slop but not accumulating quickly. Sent from my SM-A505U using Tapatalk
  9. Temp back down to 33, but still rain with a few stray flakes thrown in.
  10. It would have to improve dramatically to make it all the way up to meh. Several notches below meh.
  11. I'm about a mile south of 128 and 1/2 mile east of 24 with about 225 feet of elevation. Not sure if we even made it to an inch before the change.
  12. Don't know if/when this will turn back to snow, but can't believe the town just plowed my street. Less than an inch of slush on the roads with pouring rain. Waste of time and money.
  13. Pouring rain here and back up to 34. Well, at least there shouldn't be much to clear in the driveway tomorrow morning unless things change dramatically. Glad I was never really emotionally invested in this one.
  14. Looking a little better here in the last few minutes. Finally getting some better and bigger flakes mixing in, but temp is still holding at 33. Hopefully this is the beginning of the good stuff.
  15. Since I am actually on the surface, not above, I have nothing to observe except some filtered sun thru the clouds and a temperature of 17F. Oh yeah, the birds and squirrels are hungry today and mobbing our feeders. Those are my observations.
  16. Down to 7F with a bitter wind. First time in single digits this winter. Beautiful moonset this morning. Sent from my SM-A505U using Tapatalk
  17. I drive by the building in Freetown often on route 24. It just goes on and on and on. Don't think I have ever seen a longer building. I can imagine in raining at the southern end while still pounding snow at the north end.
  18. Looks like a giant blowfish devoured southern and central New England. How appropriate for this winter.
  19. Agreed. If we're gonna torch, at least make it enjoyable and memorable!
  20. I did see on the Channel 5 news this morning that this is now the second longest stretch of above normal days ever recorded for Boston. But a completely boring stretch except for the cutter torches.
  21. This was our backyard in Randolph after the last storm. Our 42" fence is nowhere to be seen back there. The lower hook for the bird feeder is over 6' above ground.
