  1. Don't know if/when this will turn back to snow, but can't believe the town just plowed my street. Less than an inch of slush on the roads with pouring rain. Waste of time and money.
  2. Pouring rain here and back up to 34. Well, at least there shouldn't be much to clear in the driveway tomorrow morning unless things change dramatically. Glad I was never really emotionally invested in this one.
  3. Looking a little better here in the last few minutes. Finally getting some better and bigger flakes mixing in, but temp is still holding at 33. Hopefully this is the beginning of the good stuff.
  4. Since I am actually on the surface, not above, I have nothing to observe except some filtered sun thru the clouds and a temperature of 17F. Oh yeah, the birds and squirrels are hungry today and mobbing our feeders. Those are my observations.
  5. Down to 7F with a bitter wind. First time in single digits this winter. Beautiful moonset this morning. Sent from my SM-A505U using Tapatalk
  6. I drive by the building in Freetown often on route 24. It just goes on and on and on. Don't think I have ever seen a longer building. I can imagine in raining at the southern end while still pounding snow at the north end.
  7. Looks like a giant blowfish devoured southern and central New England. How appropriate for this winter.
  8. Agreed. If we're gonna torch, at least make it enjoyable and memorable!
  9. I did see on the Channel 5 news this morning that this is now the second longest stretch of above normal days ever recorded for Boston. But a completely boring stretch except for the cutter torches.
  10. This was our backyard in Randolph after the last storm. Our 42" fence is nowhere to be seen back there. The lower hook for the bird feeder is over 6' above ground.
  11. Just booked our summer rental on the Outer Cape in Eastham. Been renting the same place for about 17 years, but had to book right away before we lost out as the owner is getting tons of requests. He told us that so many rental properties were sold in the last year to people trying to escape the cities that the demand for what is left for rentals is thru the roof. Book early if you want to go to the Cape!
  12. Aaron or Mike? Mike was a believer . . .
  13. Is the moon angle also getting higher too? Must be because when I woke up this morning all of my snow was already gone! I'm sure it couldn't possibly be that I didn't get any, as I was promised days and days and days of snow.
  14. Just got a Christmas call from my cousin in Nashville. Currently 29 with snow on the ground. Sent from my SM-A505U using Tapatalk
  15. I think the coastal front may have finally made it thru the traffic jam on 128. Big gust of wind, and the temperature quickly dropped to 29 after sitting at 32 for hours in Randolph MA.
  16. Coldest morning so far for me. 16 in Randolph MA Beautiful sunrise, but clouds sliding in. Squirrels and birds are chowing down!
  17. There's a NAM 6Z run over there, telling me I've got to beware. Sent from my SM-A505U using Tapatalk
  18. There is a lot around here, but not sure about other areas of the state. 2:00 to 6:00 Monday thru Friday and 9:00 to 1:00 on Saturday. Mostly staffed by volunteers who work with a medical firm that does the actual testing. I believe registration is required, but if possible they do take unregistered drive-ins.
  19. Lots of free testing here in Massachusetts. My wife volunteers two days a week at the town testing site in Randolph. The town has just expanded from twice a week to 6 days a week; 4 hours each day. Today is one of her days, so she has the rain gear ready.
  20. Grilled turkey breast came out great. 60 and a little rain was great weather for grilling. Sent from my SM-T510 using Tapatalk
  21. We get some free range red meat from a farm, but we have also been getting some excellent plant based burgers at Wegmans. Easily the best we have tried, and absolutely no comparison to things like boca burgers, etc.
  22. Just my wife and I, and it looks like I will be grilling turkey breast in the rain. At least it won't be a cold rain. Normally we'd be going to my sister-in-law's in New Hampshire, but we all decided to stick with immediate family.
