  1. From mid Atlantic thread. Why does this not extend to New England? Are they thinking cutter?
  2. I think there was another closer to 430 when my brother-in-law was coming up
  3. Apparently, quite the snow shower around Concord that made 93 treacherous. Here just light snow flurries and no accumulation. The radar has looked good at times, but I’m sure it’s downsloping effect.
  4. We could use it just to look nicer. Big local differences in snow cover. On my small hill in water st just patchy snow in the woods but mostly bare. Drive a mile to long st to webster and then 127, mostly snow covered but a bit patchy. At Salisbury and down 4 to Andover full snow covered of several inches and the same if not more in New London.
  5. That’s the perfect description. It is brutal and endless.
  6. Well, I certainly share the frustration with everybody, one of the things I do like is the uncertainty. You can look at a model and you have a good idea of what might happen and then it doesn’t happen in the way you thought it would. This is not only like life, it is life. especially having kids now I am not a fan of everything being scheduled and controlled. Part of what’s good about life is uncertainty and change. My kids are gonna have a lot of unstructured time to play outside and figure out life that way. It will snow, and possibly at a time that we wouldn’t have expected it.
  7. I detest cold dry and super windy. Pretty much for me the worst winter weather. What will get the block to ease enough to gets us out of this?
  8. Are you saying that southern stream backs off enough and the northern stream is strong enough to generate its own redeveloper?
  9. I didn't know I was a "greenie" but thanks for a new label. I don't think using solar is going to stop the expansion of natural gas. Its a great energy source and diversity of energy sources is smart. I'm quite happy that natural gas prices are good and we use it extensively, along with wood we cut from our land. But most importantly, lets hope we have a pattern that causes me to use more natural gas for my gas stove.
  10. If the euro continues a positive trend then we might be in business. The GFS could come back to what it was, but if the Euro doesn't continue its improvement from 6Z then this is done I'd think.
  11. 7 years was projected but the electricity rates rose a lot so it is 6 years now. Its great and we have an electric vehicle and a hybrid...so savings on gas is additional. Do it before they end the tax breaks.
  12. That inflection point is what keeps me in. Maybe the Euro is being daddy to the other models? Forces them to abandon the storm until daddy says it’s okay. And then he leads the way back into it? Just a theory. maybe change the thread to “when/if daddy says so?
  13. It’s the trend my friend. The trend is your friend. To the Euro you need not bend.
  14. When it comes back in this timeframe, that’s usually a very bullish sign
  15. I wonder how Dover is doing given that quasi stationary band that’s been over them for quite a while. Actually I think magnolias in that band.
  16. Ok I know we tend to trust the European by default and perhaps even by the verification date, but the GFS has gotten much better I think and the Canadian show some support. Also isn’t the GFS better with the northern stream so shouldn’t we be leaning towards it?
  17. well in the last half hour a lot of members trended north
  18. you've been expressing confidence this would come back, and your rationale has to do with the NS. I'm intrigued when mets have gut feelings about situations that to me almost look like lost causes.
