  1. Got a new driveway, drain and some stonework done. I don't mess around with seed especially on bare spots that will just turn to weeds. Sod is the way to go if you can afford it. You just roll out pristine KBG with zero weeds. The sign said this sod was from Savage Farms in Deerfield, MA.
  2. Love that NBC has the records on the graphic. What a summer about to roll in.
  3. I've been working outside all morning. Just a few showers here. BDR T DXR T HVN .01 GON .01
  4. BDR with a nice late afternoon rally for their first 90 of the year.
  5. They just discovered a tick in CT with a new virus. I think it's the same tick that carries the virus that makes you sick when you eat meat. Report shows first evidence of longhorned tick infection in CT in recent years It's the first evidence of a longhorned tick with Ehrlichiosis in the entire country. https://www.nbcconnecticut.com/news/local/report-evidence-invasive-longhorned-tick-infection-ct/3573815/ Also those in CT can get ticks that bit them tested for free at The Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station in New Haven. https://portal.ct.gov/caes/tick-office/tick-office/information-on-submitting-ticks
  6. 71/69 at 4am. What a special morning...
  7. Great week coming up. Love to see those first triple H's.
  8. Was just looking over my solar production data and it's been pretty terrible here. Some sites up up in NNE have had like zero solar production. May 2023 was a record month.
  9. Summer rolling in right on schedule.. Looking ahead, it`s very possible, if not likely, this will be the coolest day across the region for at least the next week as a warming pattern set ups into the start of meteorological summer.
  10. Nice sunny day here in Old Lyme but with the wind this is the only one enjoying the beach...
  11. This sucks. https://www.wpri.com/news/local-news/south-county/fire-breaks-out-at-matunuck-oyster-bar/

  13. I'm sure there will be some wood smoke wafting up north but temps look to rebound quick.

  15. Turned out to be a beautiful sunny day here. BDR with the high of 76.
  16. Post up the charts. It's a completely different climate zone down here. Same growing zone as the mid Atlantic (7b) per the 2023 USDA map updates.
  17. Maybe in NNE but down here it's been an exceptionally warm month both for highs and mins. DXR is+7.4...
  18. +5.9 for HVN and my central air has been running hard this week and month.
  19. Looks like a great dewy day today with some storms later. Current activity in PA has mainly dissipated and confidence in showers/thunderstorms this morning for our area has decreased. Latest consensus across the CAMs is we are able to clear out enough to get MLCAPE values up as high as 1500 J/kg this afternoon across northeast NJ, the Lower Hudson Valley and interior southern CT NBM was used of for T and Td today giving highs in the upper 70s to mid 80s for most and Tds reaching the mid to upper 60s.
