  1. That's double what I got. It is pretty wet but the ground stayed dry under my potato plants and only got moist in the berry patch so I'm thinking it needs watering during the heat tomorrow.
  2. It stopped drizzling for a few minutes at a time, hasn't really rained since this morning though but it's wet. Really wet. A lot more than .05 should be. It's looking like more significant rain is incoming.
  3. ^ Not raining there? It has been wet here for about a half hour now. It's a good soaking rain, not adding up to much, ~.05 around the hill, but everything is thoroughly soaked and soggy.
  4. Yeah these parts came from a couple of suppliers here in the States, some of the product is Asian and Euro but it came from domestic warehouses. Anyway... How wet are we going to get the next few days?
  5. Turned into a pretty nice late afternoon. Looking forward to some dry time tomorrow to work on the truck. Its getting a new thermostat, new rear shocks, new pads and brake hardware up front, new sway links in front and I'll figure out what needs to be done next. I know a bunch of bushings and rubber bits need to be replaced and I think I need to rebuild at least the front Brembo calipers and lube and massage the rears I'm pretty sure all the control arm bushings are shot, at least a couple of ball joints and the hub knuckle bushings on the right rear are scary bad but I'll confirm all that while things are apart. Anyone wanna come help?
  6. Sorta maybe. If we don't get into a wet period, if it doesn't rain again this week I bet the surface dries out quickly. Fauna growth rates are outrageous right now and all those plants will suck the first few inches dry in no time without replenishment. I think we're still down a pretty fair bit over a year, probably not full on drought but it is dry because of the dry spring and the surface will go back to crackly dry pretty quickly.
  7. 44/44/NE1/RN not exactly an appealing end of May observation is it... 1.8" total since Friday afternoon.
  8. Yeah we ran out of oil a few hours ago. I gotta get my shit together and go get another 5 gallons of diesel, it's getting too chilly in the house now. Looks like one more solid slug of rain is incoming. As much as we needed it I'd really like it to stop raining now. The combination of rain and wind softened the ground so much that most of my garlic blew over so it will need to be harvested now rather than waiting for it to finish in another 45 or so days.
  9. Wow. RIP Any indication of how he passed? 31 is way too young.
  10. Somewhere around 85 is about it for me. After that it's interesting and by the mid 90s I don't want to be out in it so what good is it. It's more like March or November out there than the end of May.
  11. Get a BIG one https://damprid.com/product/hi-capacity-absorbers-fragrance-free-4-lb-tub/
  12. Nuthin', zero, nada from round 1. Maybe the second line will bring the goods.
  13. It's on you when my beans and lettuce wash down the hill later
  14. 76/69/CLR wind is light and pleasant. No clouds in sight now so the temp ought to warm up pretty quickly now.
  15. Yeah it has been pretty terrible for longer than usual this year. My eyes pretty much never get all itchy and red like they have been recently. It totally saps my energy for the day somewhere around 3 too. Allergies are rarely a thing for me but the last week or so has sucked. If we get wet later what's the timing? The garden is borderline dry and I can't decide if I should water it now before the heat or wait for t-storms (which might not happen)?
  16. Looks like our wells are going to get an early season workout for the next few weeks. After a fairly dry period since last June this year could get "interesting" for some of us.
  17. Don't go gloating now I've got really dark skies and long rolling thunder just to my north. I can see the rain column and the hair on my arms is standing up. Temp is down at least 5° in the last few minutes too.
  18. After trying to smack me with its left wing it did a running liftoff and flew away.
