@BxEngineHaven't been but we will probably take a ride up to check it out one day this year. I keep trying not to get too invested in this potential but I kinda can't help it sometimes. Even if you cut the Euro down by 75% it's still a nice storm if you think outside the last ~20 years. Setting your expectations low is a good way to get through much of the current world we live in.

Yay another 3 cents

Umm? No. More than a few minutes inside the benchmark and I ice/sleet/rain. I would much rather you guys get fringed than I get fkd
-
Because it shows what they want it to
-
And now it's flurrying and backlit by a low angle sun against a dark grey cloud backdrop. It's all crystally and sparkly

Maybe you should try napping more often? Ya know, a little power nap around model release times... Couldn't hurt

Hey I'll take this, it's been beautiful all night. Twinkly, slowly accumulating snow falling slowly then enhanced towards the end with bigger flakes taking their time getting to the ground. Now, the bright moon is flickering through windows in the fast moving clouds making the air sparkle for a moment at a time.

...when you turned them on and had to wait for it to warm up... Yeah, I remember.

Le'go my eggo?

It stayed above 0 here on the hill, the lowest station went to 3. Whatever, it's cold
-
It could work out but it could also be a not quite cold enough modified CP air mass bumping into cool not cold maritime air leaving us with 31-33° rain.

Me too and I guess bust is a subjective term because I remember a fair bit of disappointment until I took some meteorology classes in college. Ooh big bust but then total salvation a month later. That was, far and away, my favorite period of winter weather growing up on LI. The rest was really pretty lackluster outside of a few events and ice storms.

Were you in O'side back then too? Oh heck, that was pretty much the only time it snowed in the early 80's, how could the sidewalks have been that icy?
-
On the cars it's 2", other exposed surfaces are similar. Yard and driveway are more like 1.5. Snow seems to be done now. They way it was deposited by the north wind makes it much prettier looking south. Looking north everything is just wet and dark.

The way this plastered everything it's gonna be pretty when the sun comes out. It's also gonna be a big pita to clean if you don't get to it before it freezes.
-
No doubt! We're going to need another oil delivery in 2 weeks, I'm not looking forward to paying for it.
-
Solidly below 32 now, everything is plastered and freezing up pretty quickly. I'm over 1" now.

I'm at about a half inch already and it's coming down at a pretty good clip. Temp has been falling since it peaked around 5am @ 39° right before it started to change to snow. It's about to drop below 32 so it's just a matter of time before it gets ugly slick out there.
