  1. Stupid clouds moved in too early here ruining it. Still feels nice outside though. We did hit the forecast high of 67 briefly.
  2. Already 100% clouds here in N CNJ. Forecast was 67, currently 64 is the high. Maybe those NE of here with more sun can touch 70
  3. The diurnal range has been large pretty often this month. So we have needed the heat on at night, but then maybe can open a window by 3 pm.
  4. Yes, May 9th we had daytime snow showers. My pool was getting opened that day. Then by May 15th my kids were swimming (with help from the pool heater, but it was a warm day.)
  5. It got down to 37 here last night. Tons of 30s around the area last night outside the typically warmer spots or areas that stayed cloudy.
  6. Some drizzle has began here. Looks like some drizzle/light rain moving in over the next few hours if it holds. Topped out at 70 earlier with the sun.
  7. Yeah, mine, which have been pretty good for a decade+ now, have been worse this year than usual.
  8. There was a 20% chance I saw...apparently 100% here, haha! I think it is done at least. Hopefully it wasn't enough to damage those boards
  9. .15" of rain so far this morning. Still getting some light rain.
  10. Those cold mornings there only got to the low 60s. So similar to here the past few days.
  11. Funny thing, I was in the Jacksonville area on vacation. Those were some cool mornings! It felt like here, haha. I did manage to have 2 80+ days down there though last week.
  12. 1.20 yesterday. Looks like when I get back from Florida on Easter weekend it might be quite chilly.
  13. 100% snowcover for more than 1/3 of met winter is a win. I don't care how it comes. Getting a week of coverage in December, even if it melted with 60 degree temps, isn't super common.
  14. I agree that March is a bad month, but to me April takes the top prize. Some snow in March makes it at least interesting. Otherwise we have today, 40s and rain.
  15. If you look on their site, they all look to be about 12 years old minus one person, lol
  16. No need too. Just like how we sometimes get snow in met fall and in met spring, sometimes hurricanes happen outside the "met hurricane" season.
  17. https://www.weather.gov/media/notification/pdf2/pns21-12_haz_simp_headlines.pdf Bye bye advisories and special weather statements by 2024
  18. Feb 2006 18" melted in like 2 days.
  19. Had 5" on the nose here yesterday before the change to light rain.
  20. Cloudy with drizzle/very light rain, 40
  21. Yeah, caught the measure right as we transitioned over to mostly sleet. This stuff was super easy to clear, like snow blowing feathers, haha.
  22. 3.75" here in Branchburg NJ. Very light sleet. 45" even on the season now. Epic 19 day stretch.
  23. The amount of housing and development next to waterways over the past several decades is the factor and building in remaining open spaces elsewhere overall. While an increased amount of precip may very well have happened, if we hadn't built 10 fold, I'm sure the billions number would have been drastically reduced. Take NJ for example. The coastline is loaded with homes 10 feet from an Ocean. Then, the mandate for low income housing is causing communities to chop down their remaining land and put up more housing to reach an arbitrary % agreed to by the state gov. My old town alone, if you look at the open space from 1990 vs now, it is almost non-existent. It is all becoming concrete and the water has no place to go.
  24. They seem to migrate to the base state, no matter what the year, usually starting week 3. The fact that it waited to week 5 this past run was different than the normal, haha. Last year they constantly had us cold week 3/4+.
