  1. I bought my house with the panels on, 68 of them, and the system was only 3 years old (prior owner paid $39k for them up front, I paid a 1 time fee of $600 to "own" them). First issue was a squirrel bit through a wire. What should have been a quick fix took 6 months. This ongoing issue they first thought was an inverter, replaced it, then said it was my other inverter, replaced that and still not fixed, now they are doing a massive system check. All of this happened right before year 10, which was when the warranty ended. Now they are bringing the warranty issue up, but they never actually fixed the problem yet. Before then, I had zero bills for 6 years (minus the 1 issue) and was getting quarterly $1,000 dividend checks, even when using my electric pool heater set to 85 during the summer. Now I've been getting electric bills every month and no dividend checks, plus visits from techs cost $. Doing the math, I'm out several thousands of dollars if you take into losing those dividend checks along with the monthly bills and tech visits. Once you have a real issue, beware with Sunpower. Hopefully your romance period continues for the long haul with no issues.
  2. My solar system has been having issues for 28 months now. When working, it is amazing. But overall getting any issues fixed is a gigantic headache, with this one going on for 2+ years. Hopefully you didn't use a Sunpower company, that's all i will say.
  3. Is being in a nina state also why it seems like clipper systems have disappeared? Since everything is dumping in to the west (most of time)?
  4. If I don't get any more snow this season, the past 10 years I'm still about 5" above average for the decade. Pretty crazy with this turd and 19/20s turd.
  5. I got 8.25" from that one.
  6. Got 20" with that storm, and then the next couple weeks were pretty sick too. Snow on the ground from 1/31 through early March.
  7. Windy out there. Just had a gust to 39.
  8. Might be able to pull off an inch before changeover.
  9. I've heavy snow for the past 15 minutes or so. Sticking everywhere
  10. Some light snow started here 5 minutes ago
  11. By the time they transfer, even if we had colder air, we would have been toast anyway. The lows are getting north of Ohio.
  12. At my work, 400' or so up in nw somerset county, all it ever did was mix with snow here briefly. Otherwise its been all rain. My wife who is home said we had some non-sticking snow there. Did you see anything @Poker2015? Oh well. The misery continues....
  13. I've had solar for the almost 7 years since I moved into this house. The system was 3 years old when I moved in. When working it is awesome. Zero bills and $1k+ dividend checks per quarter. But the system now has had issues for almost 2.5 years and my output is only about 35% of what it was and still no fix and they are running more tests. It is the most frustrating experience ever. The main problem I see is the lack of companies to work on systems. They pop up and are gone within 2 years or so. The Sunpower umbrella is large as a parent company, but the companies that work for them stink, and you cant work with anyone else or it voids warranties. We need tons more companies that can deal with system issues. These issues with companies are on tons of forums. The companies install, then it is pretty much see ya if you have an issue. No one ever talks about that though. If I have issues with pretty much anything else power related, there are tons of companies to call. Solar, good luck, they are just as corrupt as anyone else!
  14. Pretty much all of them are within a period of 20 years.
  15. Yeah, he was pretty funny too. He passed a few years ago I believe of cancer.
  16. We can use a sprinkle of that cold. Love the old WC local forecasts.
  17. 50th anniversary for Philly getting a no snow winter.
  18. The city can be 32, and all areas within 10 miles of it, N, SW, E and W are 19. It's not even worth using their temps anymore.
  19. We are part of the world though
  20. The World. It is a hockey stick that matches up almost perfectly. I knew that would get you would take the bait anyway.
  21. It has. Also, if you like living, the average human life expectancy before the industrial revolution was around 30. Now it is close to 80. This is a hockey stick graph that is nice to see.
  22. That guys track record is pretty crappy. Research him a bit and his past predictions. I think you'd laugh at how off he has been.
  23. It's just a different form of weenie. You have the snow weenie, then them.
