  1. 69.4 with gusts over 20mph. Feels great though.
  2. I remember as a kid I would wear my totes toasties that had little snowflakes on the bottom and my NY Giants pjs if it might snow. Now as a 40 year old with 3 kids, I put on these blue pajama pants with snowflakes on them. My wife hates them, but oh well! Being CNJ, my brother and I would put on 1450am for the school closings in the 80s listening on this little radio we had in our kitchen. I think they still actually do it, but the robo calls and text messages is what my district sends out now.
  3. A little late to the party here but 7" fell where I am. I noticed that the sleet line got to within 5 or so miles of my house reaching southern Somerset Co and during that time it was really dumping by me.
  4. 2" of snow, about .15" ice.
  5. One team that won the toss was victorious, the other lost. Rule is fine. Play defense, Rams did. Chiefs gave up 3 3rd and 10s in OT. Terrible D.
  6. I got 1.36" this weekend total.
  7. This upcoming weekend might add 2-3" more if the GFS has a clue today
  8. Very interesting. I'll have to remember this for future tracking this winter.
  9. Interesting. Hasn't the trend been somewhat flat to slightly downward over the past 100 years or so for overall tornado's per year? So maybe slightly less to flat in #, but more spread out? I didn't read the whole article, but does it include radar indicated tornado's or actual confirmed one's? As we see here in the NE, many times radar indicates a tor but there wasn't actually one that occurred.
  10. Was sunny down this way in NJ, but now overcast again.
  11. Their highest wind gust in 58 years since Donna in 1960.
  12. Any updates? See on twitter you were in the eye wall. Be safe!
  13. Piscataway to Allentown is 53 miles as the crow flies. I was surprised that line didn't hold to reach me here. I'm on the border of Somerset and Hunterdon. When I went to bed at 11:20, the line was probably 8 miles away or so. Checked the gauge this morning and nothing. But yesterday afternoon I received .94" in about 25 minutes from some cells.
  14. For me as well, even though I was only 7. Also any storm when I was young that would get a snow day (became a snow weenie from that). Mostly though it was my older brother who was into weather that got me into it. We had a little radio in our kitchen that we would listen to Frank Lombardo (1450am) on. Good memories.
  15. Picked up .09" this morning. Sun trying to pop out now.
  16. Turned out to be a great day for the party. Unfortunately no balloons flew over my house. This morning of course about 15 did.
