  1. That storm was disgusting. Plain horrific.
  2. Snow weenies will be flying all over the place. This entire sub is going to be a total very ecstatic pandemonium! I am going to be glad to see it!
  3. The Monday night before the storm it was 65 and drizzle. Tuesday night it was 52 and drizzle. Wednesday night it was 38 and drizzle. Thursday it hit 32 and started icing up everything. Friday freezing drizzle blew around at 30 degrees then Saturday morning it was 25 and falling and everything was ice covered. It got so fookin COLD in Buda! There was drizzle for days and days and it froze on ALL surfaces! On Saturday even the DIRT was solid ice! Then on Sunday it fell into the mid 20s with 25 mph north winds and drizzle, that changed to sleet at 7pm then to snow by 11pm that became heavy! This was a full-on BECS by south Texas standards! Flakes were easily an inch in diameter! I stared in astonishment, to see this happening in Buda! It piled up and drifted as north winds gusted to 35 mph at times! The temperatures fell into the teens and the upper single digits! We got 7 inches of snow and many waterlines froze solid. Our well took damage. I had to carry water like a 19th century Sooner, for days! I was not happy. I also fell right on my 8ss! The neighbors howled with mirth! It turned out we got lucky with the pipes, but I got the bajorkas worked out of me haulin' water! I got sick of that real quick! I never did like the Sooners and I didnt like being one either! It was so damned COLD! I am not used to this anymore. I work outside routinely in humid 100 plus weather many months out of the year.
  4. That would be a truly spectacular jebwalk!
  5. You just won that question TWICE! DC gets twice as much snow as they got in both those years, in one incredible winter!
  6. Fellow weather enthusiasts, I am so happy you are all so active on the topic, I really am. But I dont have as much time as you do. If you haven't noticed yet - Ever since I moved to Texas, my life is markedly different lol. And thats a good thing. But this topic is so active - I dont think I am gonna be able to catch up until next year lmao! Keep up the excellent discourse! Great job! Okay, back to Page 42. Gotta try to catch up, gotta try to catch up, gotta try to catch up.........
  7. If I had a choice, with all the climatic warming I would move to the Alaskan mountains. It still snows there at 10,000 feet. Or the Russian Urals. It still snows up there.
  8. Mahomes does not look right? Mahomes was a piece of shyte on Christmas afternoon! Son of a frackin biotch got sacked like FOUR times! That sorry team let me down! I am a RAVENS fan now! Always loved Baltimore! You don't win football games by throwing interceptions!
  9. Chiefs are absolutely disgusting. That was painful to watch Christmas afternoon. Need to find a new fave team, like the Baltimore Ravens. Too damn much fookin eggnog?
  10. Merry Christmas to everyone! Have an exciting New Year 2024!
  11. Merry Christmas, WxWatcher007!!!
  12. Crank this way the hell up, about 98000 decibels
  13. Hello Kevin Reilly! I see you awarded me a hot dog. I dont understand why. I am not a weenie. Oh wait. I AM a snow weenie! Model runs are NOT going down. Jan 22, 2024. That's the day. Get your shovels. Stock up on stuff that keeps you awake. On Jan 10 we are all gonna be tracking a storm. There is going to be cold air just in time. We are all going to be GLUED to the models. This storm will develop over the Gulf then make the turn and slowly lumber up the East Coast. A Siberian air mass will be filtering down. There is going to be a ton of excitement in not just our sub, but in subs up and down the East Coast, SNE is going to get clobbered as well by this, but it is going to be such a slow mover that it will dump ridiculous amounts of snow in Georgia, the Carolinas, Virginia and over the entire Mid Atlantic then bury Philly, New York City and on up into the Canadien Maritimes. This storm will reach a point, a sweet spot that in effect is the 40/70 Benchmark for a snowstorm blasting the Mid Atlantic! The Northeastern ski resorts are going to be absolutely buried, even by THEIR standards! They will get all their winter snow mojo back in one fell swoop. This storm is going to be BIG, especially for the DC Metropolitan Region. Tracker will be back in time for this one, and Northwest DC will get buried alive in snow! Much of West Virginia will get demolished by this storm as well! We can still drink ourselves right into a stupor lol. Drink up and be merry, because regardless of how many hotdogs I get awarded, Mid Atlantic is still gonna get obliterated by snow come Jan 22 2024. Merry Christmas!
  14. Merry Christmas!!!!!!!!!!! Hey, let's make it 200! And a Happy New Year!
  15. Merry Christmas everyone. Drink up and be merry! Hit about forty IPA's! We'll be demolished by deep snows soon in the Mid Atlantic!
  16. The plains are farther north. Mid Atlantic has many more moving parts to get right for snow. It's just tough for us in the Mid Atlantic to get good snows. I used to go up visit Chicago, relatives live up in that area. Gangsta on the mean side of Chicago so much as farts real hard, they get immobilized by meter deep snows.
  17. You will definitely get your snow, and lots of it. Pattern is setting up. Everything is right on track. Eat, drink and be merry, for tomorrow we all get to dig vodka snows.
  18. High temps in the 70s to near 80 degrees, wall to wall in January, prolonged Thaw. Biblical rains in the NE mountains, with Grand Canyon-deep, ten foot wide grooves worn into every ski trail at every northeastern ski resort. First January in living memory with no snow on the ground anywhere in the SNE, NEK or anywhere in the entire continental US, for that matter. Total Nino warmth throughout the land, incredible amounts of pac air as the pac jet gets its way! Pacific front after pacific front throughout the entire continental US until we all enjoy genuine Pacific weather, as record breaking 130 degree below zero temps and 50 foot snowpacks adorn the other side of the world like never before! yep, we got ourselves a brand-new vibe in 2024. Panic room becomes the main Mid Atlantic Sub.
  19. Get ready, stock up on Jebman Shovels and strap yourselves in. This is gonna be good!!!
  20. Tremendous amount of rain to our south. Only one five hundred twelfth of an inch for us with this. To our south, frantic water rescues will ensue, but this storm is not Austin's. Lots of convergence is visible on radar. Reminds me of the recent east coast Waterworld behemoth that waterboarded so many. The Drought is stout as hell in south central Tex.
  21. All I am asking for, is some rain. You guys in the East can have about 48 inches of snow from a KU.
  22. If that happens it's going to get pretty cold even in Austin.
