  1. Testsnowdo looks like a kind of turtle.
  2. As for the rain trying to move NE into Texas, some silly son of a birch tree has erected a Klingon Anti Rain Shield at Eagle Pass. All the rain bound for me is evaporating. Some El nino.
  3. Incredible plume was moving into TX today. Poor thing got damped 99 percent. All we eked out, was fog, mist and about one five hundred twelfths of an inch. If you can't count on a Pacific atmospheric river plume in a STRONG Nino, what can you trust? We got an El WHAT in the equatorial Pacific ? Back to reality. Our drought will never cease.
  4. A tremendous amount of Pac moisture is heading into the southwestern US. I can clearly see this on GOES 8 water vapor imagery! That last surge last night dumped 5.3 inches! MOAR Rain! https://weather.cod.edu/satrad/?parms=regional-southcentral-13-200-1-100-1&checked=map&colorbar=data
  5. When the pattern reloads, I think Mid Atl might just luck into something like PD II. Feb 12-14 2003 I was at Massanutten. Good times. They got 18 inches.
  6. Now, THAT would be a magnificent Drift to jebwalk in, even roll around in late tonight right around 3am when everyone is deep in the arms of Morpheus. That's a beaut, Clark!
  7. Anyone get that BTTF 2 reference?
  8. Someone needs to issue a "State of the Snowpack" statement for parts of the Mid Atlantic.
  9. I'll tell you who's an Icon. Possibly an WWBB Icon as well. Almost forgot that era lol. Ji is an Eastern U.S. Weather Icon. Ji is an American Weather Icon. Makes me laugh. Terrific posts.
  10. Thanks. Always going to love the Mid Atlantic. Lived and jebwalked there for at least fifty years. We got waterboarded by 5.3 inches of rain last night. You guys are gonna get a metric ton of snow come Feb. This is going to be one of the greatest snowy Februaries in recent memory. Stock up on whatever you use to stay awake.
  11. Thanks. Ji is very cool, I enjoy his posts a lot. February is going to rock. Lots of fun tracking and lots of snow for the entire sub.
  12. Those folks are very different from the Mid Atlantic. Never did like them lol
  13. We got 5.3 inches!!!! This brings us up to 7.2 inches in the new year! More rain is on the way! C'mon, El Nino! Show us what you got! Hell Yeeeeeeeaaahhh!
  14. For real deep winter you need to move to Northern Alberta.
  15. Its getting HEAVY! We are getting trained over by yellow and even red elements. The thunder is earsplitting! There is a metric TON of energy associated with this system and it means BISNASS! I am becoming a believer! For a long time now, I have been saying, What nino? It has been drier than last summer. Now, the damn Nino is finally getting its act together! IT'S ABOUT FRACKIN' TIME! HREF is showing 4 to 7 inches in 24 hrs, even some 7 to 10 inch lollies lmfao
  16. This radar is incredible, tons of moisture from the Pac is just moving in on Central Texas! https://weather.cod.edu/satrad/?parms=regional-southcentral-13-200-1-100-1&checked=map&colorbar=data Guess Texas is getting totally invaded by pac puke!
  17. Not sure what it means when radar just suddenly blossoms out green yellow then a surly red. Corridor is rapidly developing and Buda is right in its crosshairs!
  18. Rain is suddenly forming southwest of Buda and moving northeast bound. Models print out 3, maybe 4 inches of rain in the next few days!
  19. I deleted it then took it to banter. I should know better. Back to model disco.
  20. Lmfao on your interpretation of Hadley cells. Ravens are absolutely killing it.
  21. 24 hrs max off of the HREF shows 3 to 4 inches of rain over south central Texas just in the next 24 hours! That's just the beginning of the next few days! HRRR shows a lot of rain here as well! That's a rainy FOLKS! 'Bout time this Nino gets its shoddy act together!
  22. Okay guys now I feel like I am back in high school again worrying about exams lmao. I feel that way because earlier tonight, people were trying to GRADE the performance of the winter in the Mid Atlantic. What we have here, is a bunch of misplaced high school teachers trying to grade the weather lmao! But since then, NO model discussion whatsoever is to be found and I am so down, that I don't even know what to do. I was so hard up for model discussion, that I was forced to read old topics! Remember back in the COVID-19 era in 2020 when sports were effectively shut down and we were getting sick and tired of watching old football games that took place many years ago? They were even showing older 1970s-era games geeze! I have a brand new obsession with reading model discos, hopefully full of sophisticated meteorological jargon! I absolutely DELIGHT in that! I wish I could hack the NWS and SPC and the NHC and other related agencies just to happily grab all their decades of model data loaded up with abstruse jargon! I am far more excited over reading that, than I would ever be over getting to personally watch 50 feet of snow fall at a Himalayan ski resort in the monsoon!
