  1. I certainly believe that fossil fuel gases are contributing to global warming. However, science is very divided on this subject. I guess you can argue that science is also political. Jeff Beradelli is a big proponent of man made emissions causing the warm up. I asked him to go on Sean Hannity's show, but he declined. While Hannity is a staunch conservative, I think he would have given Jeff a fair shake, if he stuck only to the science and presented it well.
  2. Same here, but no sea breeze. When you are in a drought, it finds any excuse NOT to rain. Not even a drop...
  3. So far, during every drought "emergency" the last 20 years or so, NJ allows residents (that employ a lawn service) to water their lawn. That's rather silly.
  4. A few cells popping up in northeastern PA...
  5. Not a drop here in central Union County, as usual.
  6. What's that line forming in eastern PA?
  7. A flat black roof? I would imagine the heat to be 10-20 degrees warmer than the grass at ground level.
  8. Tough to say. Newark is all concrete. The Wx Station is in a grassy area, but close enough to the tarmac to pick up the heat. It's just far enough inland not to be affected much from the ocean?
  9. SATURDAY...Mostly cloudy with a 50 percent chance of showers. Highs in the lower 80s. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph. Yesterday's NWS forecast for today. Pretty awful.
  10. Light showers in Garwood NJ (Central Union County)
  11. Sun angle becoming lower, won't be long now...
  12. Is it possible reconstruct a page which links multiple radar, satellite, temperature, precip maps like you did years ago?
  13. I didn't think the forecasting was that bad in the 1980s.
  14. I just don't see how the trend of the last few years doesn't continue...
  15. There are such devices. A company wanted to build a plant in Linden NJ, collect the CO2, and invite neighboring power plants to collectively pipe the CO2 to underground caverns offshore. Then, Gov. Christie, nixed the deal. Sounded pretty far fetched, but I believe there might be a similar, but smaller scale operation in the North Atlantic, somewhere between the British Iles and Norway?
  16. One reason is the water is too cold for fog...
  17. Graupel in Garwood, N J 20220419_183027.mp4
  18. Had some graupel a little while ago...
  19. If this were winter, I'd be complaining about a bust and another near miss...
  20. It almost appears that simple, however, I would assume our temps are similar to the Delmarva area 20-30 years ago? Yet I would guess the NYC metro area still averaged higher snower amounts that that area?
