Thanks, the household has it as well as the adm staff at the college where I work. We will get there, I am thankful we didn't have it when we had no power!

Well, the 5 days with no power, followed by the week and changed of the flu, I am ready for Spring.

Yes, as is usually the case in Middle TN, we have that sweet spot of generally the last two weeks of December, January, and the first two weeks of February, once we are past that, seems like it is just so ever hard to get any appreciable system other than the occasional one-of system. It is going to have to rain a whole lot here in Sumner county to create flooding issues! We are still dry dry dry!
-
We need rain but we dont need alot at once especially since area creeks/streams are full of debris from ice storm.
-
I think that in the Middle TN area, we see another couple sizeable snowfalls this season

Day four no power. I always do face book live while driving and have been last few days. If anyone wants to see what is going on here, send me a friend request Matthew Rosenboom and a message here so will know who you are -
It looks likeva tornado went through my area. At it height yesterday there was almost a continuous cacophony of trees snapping in the woods trees that were the canopy trees, older ones. Most of my slash pine have been delimbed. My southern Magnolia is battered. Had two large trees just fall over in yard, so far nothing hit house. Hoping the sun can do some work on this ice today these trees need some relief

Heavy freezing rain here, 28, I would say at this rate we have a couple more hours before something snaps and we lose power

Does anyone know if this graphic from the latest HRR for freezing rain is all freezing rain or does it also include sleet?

We had about a half hour of sleet and now have switched to freezing rain; had hoped to make it to midnight or later before the change occurred, this could be bad.

I am confused, why are there two threads for the same storm? Is this the observation thread?

Would have been helpful to know 24 hours ago could have gotten things like candles etc. for when we lose power
-
The NAM is just incessant on giving my area an ice storm on top of the snow and then snow on top of the ice! Nearly .80 of ice is enough to cause issues
-
Snowing here, earlier than expected

That is about the coldest 18Z GFS run i have seen. Could this be a year that tributaries freeze over? Around here i dont think that has happened since late 1970s
