Would have been helpful to know 24 hours ago could have gotten things like candles etc. for when we lose power
-
The NAM is just incessant on giving my area an ice storm on top of the snow and then snow on top of the ice! Nearly .80 of ice is enough to cause issues
-
Snowing here, earlier than expected

That is about the coldest 18Z GFS run i have seen. Could this be a year that tributaries freeze over? Around here i dont think that has happened since late 1970s -
Those morning lows Tuesday am on that run would be awful for alot of folks that could be out of power
-
Some one with more experience can also chime in but it looks to me to be evolving more into an ice storm area wide than snow, IMO
-
It looks to me like even in the Middle TN area that things will warm enough to go to rain on Sunday with very little wrap around anything, which is good I guess, we need the moisture, would have liked to have had snowcover on the landscaping for the real cold stuff but what can you do?
-
The original comment made no sense. How is that different or unusual?
-
Right there with you!
-
That looks to follow most of the modeling I have seen
-
Yes, I am north of Nashville and now only have a 30% chance of 6" or more; my question is, if they suspect less snow, why isnt the area in a Ice Storm Warning then?
-
Quarter inch of ice is nothing to play with either
-
I would think that NWS in Memphis and Nashville would be hoisting the Winter Storm Warnings soon
-
Yea, the most recent run keeps my area as some type of frozen precip the entire event while the run prior to the most recent gets the rain close to us for an hour or two

Yea, the hits keep coming on the 18Z GFS today -
Which is right though? I would hate to be an actual forecaster with this system!
-
Looks awfully like an ice storm over middle TN
-
I would trade places with you in a heart beat, dont like being under the threat of any amount of icing
-
Hopefully that can stay out of Sumner county
-
Looks like I need to start preparing for an ice storm instead of snow smh
-
So sounds like West and Middle are still getting the same crap?
-
That is no bueno
-
yea, hoping that doesnt happen but if we have snowcover it certainly could
