Euro trended slightly to the GFS. It does not have the loop de loop over new england, but the trough sharpens up in time so the LP does go over cape cod. Still too far south and off shore to do anything but fringe the NY metro for anything more than an inch. Rain looks somewhat likely wednesday afternoon and evening. NE sees some decent rain easr of CT valley and up through NH then o

400 to 500 miles spread, other models vs the gfs. GEFS is still wet but not like the GFS operational. No other ensemble is nearly as wet unless you cherry pick members.
-
18z gfs drier than 12z, esp. for LI. Also drier for interior NE and upstate NY.

LOL. I already see some in the NE forum...
Yeah several posts today and a couple of seasonal forecasts. It seems an early start to winter mode even for them, but probably because winter signals are grim at this stage. I am not too optimistic but it's well early. That block from a few weeks ago, we will need that to return, is my suspicion.

Just found this thread. I was in the Adirondacks region around Lake Pleasant over the 4th and enjoyed several days of small mouth, rock bass, and red breasted blue gills. My son nabbed a small stocker trout but not worth eating this time. Nothing over 4 LBS, but every day delivered using spoons and plastics. Heading back in August and will try some new things to get to the lunkers who seem to be a bit cagey. There are lakers up there as well as walleye, but I have never targeted them.

I got rumbles of thunder up here at HPN. Breezy but no rain. Doesn't look severe from where I'm sitting but maybe to my N and W it's more interesting.

Didn't it snow here in May 2020?
Yes. Pictures came up on my memories on my phone the other day. It ripped for a few minutes late at night, after midnight and again during the daylight. It was nuts.

F +...only because I did not get totally skunked. Almost but not quite.

Mud season is a special time of year. The colder climates do it unfortunately well. The deeper you can freeze the ground over the course of a winter, the deeper your mud seems to be in the spring across New England.
A couple photos... a friend shared this from Waterbury, when you can't get to your AirBnB because your car can't handle NNE mud season. Friend in truck stopped to help these folks get to their weekend rental with a trip up the hill after seeing this.
This one was from Moretown, VT (Mad River Valley, town borders Waterbury to south) in the rain this weekend.
Damage.
That road would sketch me out with my 2500. I mean, I would be fine, but I would also rather not. That's gross.

My left and right rotator cuffs agree 100 percent! A skilled physical therapist is woth their weight in gold... IF you do as they say
Agree. My PT after surgery initially sucked. I thought I was going to be an invalid forever. I found a PT person a few years later who fixed me up after about 6 months of therapy and got me back to the gym bodybuilding. huge difference.

Finished up with about 1.5 here north of HPN. Mid range of the forecast.

Video games and phones killed the good toys.

This winter is a C- minus here. 1 single snowblower storm of middling interest that's it. If we got a blockbuster in northeast this month, even if it mostly misses IMBY, well I will reconsider. This was a not a total skunk winter, but rather a high-end "ratter."

That anniversary date (3/13) looks pretty favorable right now. Another pretty good storm happened on that date too 25 years before that.
Hopefully we get one more biggie to track.
Pretty good storm? Uh yeah I got 3 feet. I have such reverence for that storm I dare not speak of it. I forgot it was on the 13th. Deserves a holiday.

Even if we get 10”, I’m not sure it does much for me either.
We are hopeful for one more day this weekend of casual riding but I don't know if the clubs near me will open the trails.

Bent the roll cage on both sides, doors need to be replaced, dented roof, rear fender, windshield is whack, frame might be bent. I really hope it's toast. The body shop said 3-4 months of work. I get $25/day rental coverage for a month.
That thing is toast.
