  1. After my post, I had a feeling you were there, good for you. I kept looking to see if I could break down into the 30's but I just sat at 40 for a long time.
  2. Looks like 40 will do it for the low here, @Juliancolton what did you get down to? 34-35?
  3. Agreed, its quite noticeable above the clouds
  4. Since 6/1: 11.08" My running average for 6/1-9/11: 15.35" So I'm only down 4.27" compared to my running average for that period, I have certainly seen it drier here.
  5. You couldn't wait two more games, could you....now watch this epic comeback thanks to your jinx...
  6. Damn! Feel better! The ribs will likely take a while
  7. Are you saying there weren’t cameras back in ‘87? What a gem of a day today is!
  8. Violently agree. When was the last decent year around here for foliage? The past two, for sure, have sucked.
  9. Isn’t that a relative question? Do you mean the worst of the heat as in upper 90s for highs? Or worst of the heat as in departures from average?
  10. Agreed. And to make it confusing to folks around here is that we border three other NWS offices. I realize that happens in plenty of other parts of the country though.
  11. You know just how close that was to my house...the view from the top of the hill here of that must have been fantastic.
  12. Missed me by two miles. Numerous reports of trees into houses in Montgomery according to the Orange and Rockland County Fire page on Facebook.
  13. And what a pop that is, as you know. During the tropical storm about an hour after I got power back, only out 4 hours that time, I heard that exact noise but didn’t realize what it was plus my power didn’t go out. I wondered if the Red Coats were attacking! The next morning I saw two fuses flipped on the line that goes to the pump house at the river thanks to a branch laying on top of them.
  14. I guess that cell had rotation as per Hudson Valley weather.
  15. After the first two jump starts, one before work and one after, we got the battery replaced and yet it still wouldn’t start. The wife called our mechanic son who said try jumping it again even with the new battery as it could be a voltage issue with the starter not getting enough because it’s shot or the wires to the starter are messed up. Sure enough it fired right up when I jumped it for the last time today.
