  1. I have guards on the gutters that work well but I did have a clog of tiny maple seeds that worked in there and got stuck in the elbow, cleaned it out weeks ago, been waiting for a good test and this week out to bring it. The downside, as JC pointed out, will have some leave drop if we get into the heavy rains.
  2. Yeah, I had that thought as well, it would be nice if the rain held off a bit longer but it’s also needed.
  3. Some of the best color in years (not saying much considering how bad recent years have been) popping up around here, looks like fall again.
  4. There’s an extreme lack of coping skills in today’s society.
  5. You must get a good bit of sun in your yard, not enough sun in mine to get anything of value really anymore. Got down to 31 for a bit here this morning so who knows how it looks now.
  6. First official frost here and down to 31 now a couple miles south of KMGJ
  7. Sure because we all know that when an animal is poisoned it decides to die in a noticeable/accessible location...LOL. Enjoy your afternoon.
  8. Then why would you say to ever use rat poison? Anyone who cares about wildlife knows to never use it due to the secondary poisoning risk. So I should poison the cat and then poison one of the hawks or owls around here that eat at the carcass. Sure, makes perfect sense.
  9. I had a damn milk snake in my house a couple weeks ago and no shortage of snake skins in the yard. You’d be surprised at all the creatures we have out in the country.
  10. I assure you the cat kills way more mice, moles, and chipmunks than the couple of birds it ever manages to actually catch. Never underestimate the value of a good barn cat.
  11. Coyotes need a good sized meal from time to time too ya know. I shoot the squirrels that try eating from the feeder, does that make you happy?
  12. 35 here, 33 at KMGJ up the road, no frost in my yard.
  13. Both a feral cat and the hawks stalk the bird feeder...makes for some real Wild America moments.
  14. After my post, I had a feeling you were there, good for you. I kept looking to see if I could break down into the 30's but I just sat at 40 for a long time.
  15. Looks like 40 will do it for the low here, @Juliancolton what did you get down to? 34-35?
  16. Agreed, its quite noticeable above the clouds
  17. Since 6/1: 11.08" My running average for 6/1-9/11: 15.35" So I'm only down 4.27" compared to my running average for that period, I have certainly seen it drier here.
