  1. And I read someone in the main thread yesterday say something to the effect that there’s no way to get 2-3” per hour rates for more than a couple hours or some bullshit.
  2. I’m melting what was in the Stratus but there’s no way to know it’s true accuracy. Maybe later if I feel ambitious I’ll do a core sample too.
  3. 12z GFS has 50’s and rain Christmas Eve before the front barrels through...watch it nail that from a week away LOL
  4. Yeah, tough to get accurate measurements with this wind, 11” at my snow stakes.
  5. Now...if we can keep that quick warm up with rain away a week from now...
  6. There you go! Don’t get me wrong, while they picked up on the storm last week I’m still blown away by the huge swings in the models as we got closer. A couple days ago it looked like I would be on the northern fringe of the heaviest snow and in reality I wasn’t even close to the southern fringe. It’s the nature of the beast with snowstorms that’s only made worse by our access to all the models weeks in advance. So with all that, it’s easy to overlook what goes down as a solid snowstorm IMBY.
  7. Well that’s always going to sting. And it’s a chicken or the egg argument but the storm coming further up the NJ coast pushed those crazy totals to our N and W and that led to the bit of warming, no? Clearly not jackpotting will always bother people but at the end of the day a foot of snow with blowing and drifting and bitter cold, deep winter conditions, a week before Christmas is nothing to complain about IMO. Winter was cancelled at the start of December and look at what we have outside the window now.
  8. 25/23 10.8”, light snow, blowing and drifting snow.
  9. The radar is filling in nicely to our south, I think it pounds again soon enough.
  10. Nice! I noticed there are no radar echoes near me but it’s still snowing.
  11. I can promise you that won’t happen here LOL
  12. That’s interesting but you can’t measure snow every hour and add that up, you know that!
  13. My son and I just referred to this classic as well LOL
  14. That measurement was from one of my extra boards I threw down in a spot that in hindsight is not located all that well, my wife’s car is likely blocking it a bit. My other board is out further in the open yard, didn’t wonder down there.
  15. 19/16 and closing in on 5” but terrible flakes out there now, not a good sign for the short term.
  16. I wonder if it caused by the dry slot down near Philly making it further north. Not a fan of that Euro run, we shall see.
  17. 20/16 solid moderate snow, border line heavy snow.
  18. March 2017 the dry slot capped me at 20", hopefully it stays to my south in this storm.
  19. Was going to post this in the other thread but then the weenies who have no concept of geography would either call me a liar or think that I was referring to their own back yard...Euro has us flirting with 0 or slightly below Saturday morning.
