My point and click is 31 tonight and goes down from there until at least Sunday morning. We shall see.

I touch on 37 here for about 30 minutes, 38 now.

The weekend rain was lighter than forecast thankfully. There was s light delay in the gauge dropping until yesterday.

Officially, I don't know but I lean towards no. That said, I've experienced similar situations in the past that left me scratching my head. The impatiens are a good telltale.

Its pretty certain now that my low here for the month will be 38, which makes it the first October in my time here going back to 2005 that I did not reach freezing. Here are the other Octobers that I only had a low in the 30s, you'll see just how much this 38 stands out in comparison: 2005: 30 2007: 30 2010: 32 2017: 31 2018: 30 2019: 31

Only got to 39 here this morning but there was more noticeable building roof frost on the way into Goshen, still not enough to log it as the first frost.

The Wallkill River gauge in Middletown peaked just a hair higher than it did with Ida, will be interesting how high the river goes this weekend.
-
38 for the low which ties the lowest for the month. Was fun driving in and out of the fog depending on my elevation near home, saw some light frost on house roof tops closer to Goshen, nothing near me.

Then Christmas evening I picked up .2" of mood snow...it could've been a nice white Christmas...such a Grinch storm that was on Christmas Eve.

4.49" total including the .31" from Monday morning in the Stratus, 4.29" in the Davis over the same time period, had a small leaf and a maple seed stuck in there.
-
The roads coming in were sloppy in various spots due to the leaves, standing water, and water running across the road.

CHP-Truckee posted a photo within the past hour, 25” at Soda Springs since 10pm last night.

You can see on the Truckee webcam that its snowing pretty good downtown which is around 5800' so the higher elevations must be getting pounded.

As promised, here are some more Boring Stats from Irish Rob, I believe its self explanatory but let me know if you have any questions:

And it’s packed. Thought about going but the Octoberfest the same company had last month was a scam. I decided to just drink Spaten on my deck this afternoon and have no line to my beer fridge. You are welcome to stop by and take advantage of the heat my impulse buy from a couple of weeks ago provides…

Oh I have a small video but can’t share, here’s a screen shot of the two of them

Good morning! My eldest son is currently attending Notre Dame for his MBA. His girlfriend was there this weekend and my youngest son and his fiancé flew into South Bend for the game last night, the four of them had a great time. They wound up on the Jumbotron last night at one point and my youngest was part of the mass of men who held my eldest up in the air so he could do push-ups after one of ND’s touchdowns, a tradition at many college stadiums. My eldest is 6’2”, maybe 6’3”, and over 250…I wonder how my youngest os feeling this morning for more than one reason…
