    yeah upton notes dry air and a cap later today so just isolated stuff and inland. Had two quick downpours here-not much rain only .25 but washed the pollen away

    Last truly cold eastern winters were 13-14 and 14-15--it's been a unmitigated torch since then with the occasional cold snap or snowy pattern like 20-21

    I'd say so-Long Island usually is rough with east winds-Back door usually goes down to Central Jersey and stalls...Philly was 82 yesterday while I was stuck at 55 all day-usually the island is in the same airmass

    yeah usually we are all socked in together in our misery-yesterday was awful here but I could see the clearing out over the sound-it just never moved in here.

    It kicked out of here about an hour ago-skies cleared and temps up to 68-70

    I think we had that cool pool last year too-but then it vanished in late June and the pattern got wet

    yeah we've had some rain but it's nickel and dime stuff and not the 1-2 inch soakers
