  3. yep, about 30 minutes to go here-still some moderate rain right now but worst is over.

  8. yep-gives me about .50 more-which would make the warm front today 5x as rainy as I picked up over 2 inches on today's event
  9. Dont forget the halloween snowstorm of 2011. Knocked out power to most of inland CT for 5-7 days-a foot of slop on foliated trees....

  11. Both utilities have been under fire for the last 10 years for poor storm response....calling in reserves 2 days into the outage-etc stuff that they should have done 3-5 days ahead of time

  13. In the other thread someone notes it's in the low 90's in central Jersey, I'm 75 here-so clearly the front is enhancing the storms

  15. ahh-I heard loud thunder overnight but no rain here-must have been that storm running about 20 miles north of here.

  18. I've had close to 6 inches of rain here so far in July-if we get another 3-5 we'll be close to 10 on July 9th...crazy
  19. it does interact with a front, but agree, it's a 6-9 hr period of heavy rain for some areas, mainly overnight tonight.
  20. Here in CT, the halloween snow storm of 2011, Irene, Sandy and even Isias were disasters here with regard to power restoration. A Cat 3-4 would take us out for months electricity wise.
