Good point and true...the paste turns to cement and hangs around for a bit. -

with a strong low into the lakes I'm not sure what people were expecting-you need the primary to die out in Southern OH or WV for most of CT to do well. -

with a high east of Maine and a 981 primary into Michigan? Sell. -
Not to mention a 985 low in northern Michigan-that's usually not a recipe for snow in NYC or even CT

even further north-I would think that torches the midlevels...usually you want to see the primary die off in OH or maybe WV -

981 low over N Michigan? That's tough to get snow for CT/RI etc -
Never know though a couple of 6-10 inch events and all the sudden we're close. Given the blocking and SSW I have better hope than I would otherwise....

a 2-4 inch snowfall would be a HECS this year. Haven't cleared driveway snow in over a year here -
FIXED

North and west areas can get something-we've had accumulating snow here into early April. Of course you do need fresh arctic air and the event to occur at night....for the city and immediate coast it's unlikely after about 3/15...

rain here

When was the last time we had -5 for ANY month? Feb 2015?
-
That's got to be a top 5 storm up there- they usually don't get monsters like that...looks like a long duration event.
-
A low north of the great lakes is usually not an indicator of snow here....
-
That's usually what I do but we've yet to get to that point....

I'm waiting for someone to start spreading mulch lol.

Yep warm winter saving on heat bills for sure...Oil/Gas/electric the rates are very high right now. Snowblower shovels sleds etc have yet to move from my shed to garage and probably wont.
-
Long range though...I've seen this movie before....

What a great month that was-the mid December MECS also added to the fun....
