  1. And not to be neglected, new Record Maximum Lows of 79*F were also set at DFW yesterday and today.
  2. DFW has made it to 99*F as of 3pm, tying the daily record high back in 2005.
  3. Oh, and the current record high for today at DFW is 99*F (set in 2005)
  4. FWD has bumped highs to 99F and 98F today and tomorrow, and is even talking about a Heat Advisory (although I don't see it has been issued officially yet). FWIW, will need 1 more 100*F+ day to tie (with 2000) for the most ever in September. DFW is currently tied for 2nd place with 6 days. EDIT: Heat Advisory just dropped for majority of the CWA (eastern edge of counties excluded) through 7pm Sunday...
  5. I see Hoosier's back. Grand Reopening and Grand Reclosing?
  6. And even for the western parts of the subforum, on balance it wasn't a hot Summer. A lot of similarities to 2009 pattern-wise, with most of the heat centered over LA, TX, New Mexico and Arizona.
  7. michsnowfreak came out of hiberbation with guns ablazing...
  8. And amazingly, DFW achieved an intra-hour high of 110*F. The 3rd this year and the latest it ever happened
  9. We did tie the record high of 104*F again today, but didn't quite make it to 105*F. That being said, in all likelihood, DFW should still tie the 1980 record of 105*F+ days in a year after tomorrow and Friday.
  10. And the Excessive Heat Warnings are back for DFW, though maybe for the last time this year.
  11. DFW actually tied the record high of 104*F yesterday, overachieving a bit. It was, however, 1 degree off the record maximum low of 82*F Today's record is also 104*F, which could be tied/broke as well. The record maximum low is 79*F, which is looking to be shattered. If 105*F+ can happen today through Friday, the recoed from 1980 will be broken. If it just happens Thursday & Friday, the record will be tied.
  12. It's crazy to think, by the end of this week, DFW may still have a shot at breaking and/or tying the 1980 record for the most 105*F+ days in a year.
  13. More storms are developing over DFW. Surely it can't miss this time... EDIT: Indeed, DFW picked up 0.20"
  14. Plenty of cloud cover and many areas saw a modest amount of rain. Yet, DFW still made it to 100*F, officially cracking the top 5 list for the number of days in a year (48) and surpassing 2022. (still no measurable rain as of 4pm)
